Ok - I've been testing this spreadsheet/game approach mixed with a few of my own items mentioned previously mixed with Armor & Sword's clean screen slider approach.

I can firmly say that those items all combined have absolutely made me fall back in love with franchise mode. Team management matters. Every game matters. Player's attributes matter.

The only drawback now is that I'm just testing it until 23 comes out and we get spring training rosters. Once that happens, I'll be spending time in franchise mode a lot this year vs DD.

That’s great news. Hope you really enjoy this year.

I’ve been anxiously waiting since December to get started this year.

This spreadsheet + the franchise roster I’m working on will make this year fantastic.

Quick question for you - on the events to identify the organization it says to use the overall ranking. For example 8th organization.

To do that with 30 man control, I've just been rotating through the home screen switching team control until it shows the one ranked 8th. Is there an easy screen from within franchise mode to see that info all one screen ranked 1-30?

That’s a typo. Sorry about that.

It shouldn’t be sorted by overall, but alphabetically.

So if it’s the 30th team, it would be the Washington Nationals.

Where is this at on the spreadsheet?

I’m looking at the scenarios and the top left gives a team name and then a number between 1-93 for player in the organization and then a number between 1-26 for player on the mlb roster.

                  Actually, you’re right.

It auto generates a team name at the top.

You're both right. I've been reading part of this spreadsheet wrong. Total bonehead move on my part. Thanks!

JWDixon - Remind me - are you putting out an updated version for this year or rolling with what is there now? Asking so I know if I need to go re-copy it.

Originally, I was working with another creator here for a little while to create an application to be downloaded onto your computer as a franchise companion App.

As of now plans for that are on hold due to some unfortunate events.

This project still is alive though!

                        Quick update to the sheet!

I’ve created a “Contract Demand” sheet.

This works exactly like you’d think. Enter the variables I have highlighted yellow on the sheet and a players expected AAV will be returned.

This tool mainly aims to “fix” those asking demands from solid 75-82 OVR players.

These guys tend to ask for deals way lower then what we’d see IRL.

In the screenshot above, you can see how my demands line up with what these players demand in game. My demands very closely align with actual Contract data and projected contracts.

If you have any questions, let me know!

So in the above example, would it be:

Jon Gray is demanding $12M and the spreadsheet is projecting $7M value or the other way around in that he is demanding $7M and you're projecting he is worth $12M?

Gray is demanding $7m in game, but my tool suggests he should demand closer to $12m.

Which IRL Gray is on a 14m year deal so it’s close.

I use 30 team control, so when I’m making decisions to resign players, this keeps me from giving guys way less then they should be getting compared to IRL.

You do very cool work on your sheet. I have an excel sheet I had set up for 30 team control a little bit more basic then yours but I have it all set with all teams entire roster and everything all the way through minors just waiting on them to put out game and drag the minor league guys up, Needs some roster updating over the past 2 weeks of moves but was waiting on the game at this point. Every roster has over 150 players on it
