    JWDixon's All-Inclusive Franchise Spreadsheet

Back with another revamped and better version of my Franchise Sheet! This sheet will only be available on Excel, as some formulas and data was easier to use with it. I apologize for any inconvenience.

Also PLEASE watch the YT Video I have linked that acts as the README for this file. It is time-stamped in the description if you ever need to reference it again.

    Here are the features:
    • Team Summary Page
    • Top Prospect Tracker
    • Roster Tracker
    • Team and League Transaction Tracker
    • Draft Pick Tracker
    • NEW REVAMPED Trade Value Calculator
    • NEW International Free Agent Generator
    • NEW Franchise Storyline and Event Generators (Idea from 2k's ATD Roster guru''s)
    • Player Stat Tracker (Counting Stats, OPS, wOBA,BABIP, OPS+, ERA-, Custom Park Factors etc.
    • NEW custom WAR formula and Custom Stat!
    • Player Season Summary's
    • Notable Game Tracker
    • MiLB Season Summary Tracker
    • ASG Selection Tracker
    • Standings
    • NEW Monthly Power Rankings!
    • Playoff Stat Tracker
    • Playoff Result Tracker
    • Season Awards Tracker
    • NEW Realistic MVP/CYA Voting!
    • Hall Of Fame Tracker
    • Team Logos
    • Contract Demand Calculator

Currently, the spreadsheet has a few lines on each sheet filled out to give a rough template of how it should look.

Here is a breakdown of how to use each of the features:

    TRANSACTIONS:
    • Track every move made by your team or league
    • Spaces for notes are allowed to jot down why a move was made
    • Team Logos sheet can be used to copy and paste into this sheet under "Former Team"
    • Track each draft pick your team makes including their Scouting Report and MLB Comparison (Use your imagination)

    TRADE VALUE CALCULATOR
    • Enter a players Previous 3 years WAR, Games Played, and Contract Info and a Trade Value is spit back out.
    • Use this to compare when making trades between MLB Players
    • Also use the Prospect Value sheet to reference when trades involving Farmhands.
    • This calculation is based on the MLB The Show 20 Trade Discussion Thread

    IFA Generator
    • Vanilla MLB The Show has never included International Free Agents even though they are seen everywhere in today's game.
    • Use this tool during the offseason to generate up to 3 IFA's
    • This Tool has the chance to generate superstar players at ages 18-20 although superstar players are very rare to generate.
    • Most players will be in the 60's for Overall and 70's for Potential
    • If you think a player Generated is simply "Too OP" then by all means do not put them into the game.
    • Use the Read Me within this sheet in the workbook to Learn More

    STORYLINE/EVENT GENERATORS
    • Unfortunately, MLBTS can have a severe lack of storylines without a great imagination from the User
    • This tool intends on helping that aspect of your Franchise
    • Event Generators should be used as specifically noted for certain times throughout your Franchise
    • Always remember if you do not like a certain event, you do not have to use it
    • Please suggest more events to be added into the sheet!

    PLAYER STATS
    • User should follow the read me on this sheet as well
    • User should enter mainly just counting stats as all other stats are automatically calculated

I really hope you guys enjoy. Please let me know if you have any suggestions!

I’ve never used a spreadsheet in any of my franchises in all the years I’ve played.

How much of a time investment is needed to update after games?

Personally in my opinion it’s not much at all.

I only input player stats usually at the end of every month. That one is the most time consuming and takes about 20 minutes. Everything else can be done in about 5-10 minutes after a game is over depending on what you want to enter!

Sounds great. I may attempt to try these out in 23’. Like someone else posted, the scenarios look awesome.

            Great idea!

Question on the scenarios. Do you start by selecting 0 for the scenario first or by the team on the top left?

                  It’s up to you!
Personally I enter a 0/1 to get a scenario first.

I then enter a 0/1 to draw a team so I know what team to draw.

(I.E if the scenario is involving a playoff team, I’ll draw until I have a playoff team)

Thanks. I just wondered cause that is what I did and then when you do the team it changes the scenario.

Yeah unfortunately that’s how the random number generator works in Excel. Anytime a cell is manipulated it rerolls the numbers.

It may be best to copy and paste the event you get so you don’t forget what it was!

And in the dark I hear your screams

                          Sure!

This is how to use the trade calculator:

Find a player to be involved in the trade

Enter his name under “Player 1” or Player 2” tab

Enter his last 3 years worth of WAR in the boxes labeled (2023,2022,2021). You can change those years to whatever the last 3 years of your franchise are.

Enter the total games played in each of those 3 seasons

                          Enter contract years remaining

Enter remaining salary on entire contract

After you enter all of those, you’ll see the “TRADE VALUE” number reflect what that players value is.

Prospects are valued using the MLB ‘20 Trade Threads evaluation that are listed within the sheet.

Arb players are kinda a guesstimate. Just try to do your best on guessing their Arb amounts.
