Something easy (I presumptuously assume) they could do that would have a big visual impact is to implement the color wheel from DD into equipment color options. Then we could have light powder blue, light pink, etc.

This x1000 many of the default colors are awful. How there’s no powder blue is crazy.Comment

Take it from what NHL does (one of the few things they do right). I have a feeling we’ll have to wait until PS4/XB1 is no longer supported to get the changes though.Comment

I am for one is running out of patience with this title. I have played every iteration of the Show. For it being on a next=gen system has been disappointed in these things.Comment

Re: New Equipment in The Show 23
It won’t truly be next-Gen until they drop X360/PS4. Until then, there won’t be any larger changes to graphics/equipment/models.Comment

Re: New Equipment in The Show 23
I'm not seeing anything new.
Given that the stuff most likely to be is most Nike, I'm betting it's on Nike's side for whatever reason. Not sure why, especially given that NBA 2k typically has older shoes. But it looks like the 3's might be discontinued. Just looking at Nike's site, they only have the turf shoes listed, the Huarache spikes are just the 4s, NXT, and Keystones. Dick's Sporting Goods still has some 3's, but it says "limited stock" on those (but not on a lot of the other cleats). The Trout 7's that were removed also look to be done; Nike is selling 8s and 9s, DSG has 7s with "limited stock". I think the Vapors have survived because there isn't a "new" version of those.
That said, while it'd be nice to have the 3s and 4s, if I had to choose, I'd pick the 4s. There are a lot more options that serve as reasonable replacements for the 3s (the NXTs, Trouts, or Jordans all work reasonably well imo), and they are being worn by fewer players this year. The bigger issue, imo, is the uneditable Graphic Color options on the Huarache 4s and the new Trouts.
Either way it's certainly disappointing considering there are 113 Nike shoes and 81 Jordans in NBA 2k, and 24 Nikes and 7 Jordans in Madden.

2k is a bad comparison because basketball is all about shoe culture. Baseball brands really only have a few models (like you said). I do hope that when they move fully next gen and drop the old console support that we can get more equipment and uniforms.Comment
