*** ****, SDS really pushing the Negro league mode... ANOTHER video on it, honestly really seems like this is the only thing that was worked on for 23.

I do not feel good about Thursday.

I mean it was a passion project within the studio, its an important aspect of baseball history, and the mode is not only serving as something new to play in the game, but also be educational.

I expect we'll see videos every week, or maybe more than one a week that showcases the teams of the Negro Leagues.

As far as it being the only thing they worked on..come on. Let's not find another scapegoat to unjustly blame for any shortcomings we may find within other/our favorite modes.

I think there is just a concern how this mode is going to work. It appears great care is taken with the mode and hopefully that transfers to other modes.

Yep I get it and right I know this isnt the only thing they worked on... Gameplay received nice updates and DD looks good again.

I'm just frustrated more than anything... Really hope Thursday's info is good... Honestly for me, if they just fix AI bullpen logic I will be super happy!

This is no doubt a day 1 purchase for me each year.

Based on the gameplay from the feature premiere, it'll work basically the same as Moments

I mean, this is a rather important undertaking as it is an opportunity to educate a huge number of people about an important aspect of baseball history that had significantly broader social impacts. Educating people about our past is a means of avoiding repeating those mistakes in the future. Yes, we're talking about a video game, but video games have taken-on an increasingly vital role as a media source in today's society.

Some things are FAR more important that your precious franchise mode and I applaud SDS for taking-on this project and understanding its importance - it is not something that they can simply throw together and is something that SHOULD be THE leading aspect of this year's title.

I don't think anyone is denying the importance of that era of baseball, or is saying that there isn't a need to learn about it. But, it's getting a little hard to deny that it got more attention than anything else this year. I think the frustration for some comes from so much attention being paid to a mode that is relatively small compared to the rest of the modes, while the rest of the game that people spend the most time with continues to look largely the same as it did on the PS3.

Its not whether someone is franchise fan, RTTS fan, DD fan, or whatever their preferred mode of play.

You have different teams that work on different aspects of the game. And the mantra that is passed around is that if one's particular mode didn't get as much attention as they see fit, then has to be at the fault of another mode, is growing long in the tooth.

No one knows the difference between what needs to be done via coding, resources, etc...to put something into franchise mode versus that of another mode.

People are refusing to take things as they are and must continuously find something to blame.

Why can't it just be that these things were added to a particular mode because the time, resources and work that must be done within that mode with the code in hand is all that could be done for that cycle.
