Hitting, while I like directional/timing, I've just had more fun with zone and seem to get better hit variety with it.
Using a wheel like is a genius idea.

That is A REALLY GOOD IDEA.

    Never even thought of that.

Just like you said it keeps the game fresh. I think I will give it a try.

I also use one to pick which games of a series I'll play in franchise and what camera I'll use when I'm hitting and the ball is in play. It just keeps some of this stuff from getting stale. So far it's worked, I started doing it for MLBTS '21.

I also use clean screen for pitching which does add to the difficulty of pitching imo.
How is it possible to use meter with a clean screen?

I keep the meter, and lose the rest of the pitching aids.

I'm a clean screen nut so it's classic for me. I wish offense and defense had options to turn off all visual aids for some of the other types of mechanisms. I really like pulse but wish it was invisible and could just use it based off vibration even if super difficult. On defense i wish there was a way to turn off the blue fielding circle, cutoff throw prompt, switch fielder prompt, etc...really would love to try manual fielding and manual throwing and have it look like auto throwing / auto fielding...but i've seen even with auto throwing and auto fielding the prompt to switch outfielder comes up occasionally which baffles me lol

Nice. Please, do this with everything else.

You can with Pulse. The Pulse indicator will never move and remain in the middle. So you can hide the actual aimpoint and still use Pulse.

Before the update pitching was in a much better place

Yeah, there's a right balance. I play RTTS almost exclusively, and being a pitcher sucks because depending on what style you use, either A.) your input means nothing and your ratings are all that count, or B.) your ratings mean everything and you feel like you're just hitting a button to continue.

There has to be a balance. That's why MVP 05 is still my favorite baseball game ever. They nailed the user-input vs. ratings balance.

I’m an analog guy at heart (online/offline), but I’ll use pulse pitching online at times when I want to just kick back and relax and play.

Buddy of mine is new to the show online this year and was using classic and dotting guys in co op ranked with me. I feel like they made all pitching methods a bit more accurate this year.

Best part about this series is that we all can play how we want. Love that SDS don’t force us into something online etc.

This is what I'm doing for first time. Was 1st a meter man then classic as I got older.

I use pulse lol meter can be great too as it feels like the new "classic" for gamers. But I love pulse, as it doesn't feel like I have too much input over the pitcher's actual skill level, which feels more realistic. I use meter when playing friends though. I actually don't know anyone that doesn't use meter.

Classic isn’t boring to me. Based on the attributes, trajectory of pitches, windage, among other factors plays a part. I honestly never got bored with classic pitching but some people love the simplicity of things like auto transmission and some prefer manual shifting.

Thanks, I actually mean hiding the pulse indicator as well working strictly from controller vibration feel as it gets softer/harder and having to time it somehow...if that was possible from a development standpoint

For me it's a point of view thing.

In franchise mode, I'm thinking as a manager/GM. Yes, I enjoy the input side of things, but I'm perfectly OK with ratings being extremely meaningful.

In RTTS, I need my input to be at least as important as ratings, because my point of view is that player.

So I ask very different things from the interface between the two. I'm 100% with you in franchise, but that's just not nearly enough in RTTS.
