My favorite baseball games were MVP 05 and High Heat 04. I don't know if that informs what you might say to sell me on The Show 20, but maybe it'll help.
What's up man. So look at it this way, at least in my opinion. 23 is good, it is a pretty solid game of baseball with updated graphics and features over 20.

However, 20 is the NFL 2K5 of baseball games. It does not mean 23 is bad, but MLB 20 is just that much better in every gameplay related category and no future SCEA/MLB game will ever come close again. It simply can not, as professional ball itself has moved in a different direction.

If you want created stadiums, super smooth gameplay, updated graphics, some new unis and equipment, then 23 is your buy. If you want near perfect gameplay and a never ending, always expanding slew of classic rosters to enjoy it with, then 20 is your forever baseball game. It is mine.

I didn't realize you could play The Show 20 on PS5. Now that those are in stock everywhere. I'm guessing it's a smooth transfer through the clouud?

23 is leaps and bounds better than 21 or 22.

I get my current MLB fix on 23, and my historical roster fix on 20.

It's the perfect situation for me.

Honestly, I know it's not exactly what's being discussed here but 21 was the first Show I actually enjoyed on PS4 and with so many great community rosters that update the game plus the fact that I only play offline seasons, I don't plan on buying any newer ones since the only thing updated anymore really is online and card collecting modes.

Re: MLB The Show 20 vs. 23

I still have 20 because I have a flashdrive with over 30 "classic" rosters to play with. I have 2 fictional rosters to also use as well as wbc's world Baseball Classic roster and my college roster.

I bought 22 and play current seasons, a fictional roster and a 2023 college roster I'm almost done with. I also love using created stadiums on 22.

I am content with what I have. Until they, if ever, bring back Y2Y saves I probably won't be upgrading. Just my $.02!
