    Re: LIGHT TOWER POWER

I got a good laugh when Miggy was batting and it triggered line about how lots of good players have come from Venezuela, including one that finished with over 3000 hits, 500 HRs, and a triple crown. I wonder who that player was, he sounds pretty good

Add Kolton Wong to the list of those with light tower power. I honestly think comments like these are totally random and whoever is at the plate doesn't matter.

But does he provide a surprising amount of pop from the second base position?

            Re: LIGHT TOWER POWER

My beef with commentary is that they barely mention stats at all. Matt used to say a guy was “hitting .248 with 8 home runs, 44 driven in” etc., three years in and Boog still doesn’t say any of that stuff.

Recently I’ve just turned the commentary off. Was inaccurate and repetitive.

My biggest beef with the commentary for years is so many plain generic lines "And he makes the catch in right." Why is it so hard to say "Acuna makes the catch in right."

                  I've done that for years.

Same. Commentary gets stale after the first 3 games or so on any sports game.

According to commentary Bryson Stott and Garrett Stubbs should be my big power hitters.

I’ve heard the Yankee Stadium suit story every game this series. I’m seriously leaning toward turning commentary off myself. It’s insufferable at this point.

Same. Might turn it on for a big game here and there to break the silent monotony but overall it’s just a whole bunch of worthless droning. I don’t understand why they insist on making it more complicated than it needs to be. If they just said what pops up in the little statbox above the scorebug it would be superior to what they’re doing now. It’s like once you realize what they’re NOT saying, what they ARE saying gets all the more grating.
