I’m about 21-24 games into a season with the Mets. My five starters are all in the top 11 in MLB in ERA & 4 of the 5 in the top 20 in ks.

    I play on legend pitching
    CPU Contact 6/7
    CPU Power 6
    CPU Timing 7
    Pitch Control 4

    - the computer hitting is just not up to par. I feel your struggle. I’ve had team-switch-itis this year bc of Slider and gameplay issues - it’s been frustrating. I do have a wild hypothesis that the cpu is struggling w the strike zone & am thinking of NOT playing on personalized strike zones for the umpires. Thoughts?

I switched to average strikezone mid way last year and love it. Been using that all of this year. I prefer it over personalized. But I wouldn't think any of the options would be effecting cpu swinging and missing more than years past.

? I'm new here. Not sure what you mean.

But to stay on topic, I use HoF pitching difficulty with the CPU contact and timing sliders set to 10. It's still challenging enough. My top 2 aces get about 6+/- Ks per game. I think that's accurate enough.

I did switch to accurate or whatever it is called and it made a minor difference to cut them down but not huge.

Not sure but since the last update it seems like the Padres are unstoppable putting up 23 runs in 1 game and 14 the next. Maybe it's just me.

Anyway, Carlos Perez (A's catcher) is missing his jersey number on front and back.

I'm using the Giants just for the classic 1983-1993 Home/Away sets which are gorgeous and shout out to SDS for finally adding the missing Away.

Those uniforms are beautiful, I made sure they wore them every day for the six times I played them in my Mets franchise

SDS just needs to add the missing Orioles 1995 Away, Milwaukee 1982 set, White Sox 1983 set, the 1984 Mets Blue Away Alternate, the 1975 A's Kelly Green Away, Kansas City's 1985 set and then I can do a 30 team franchise as those are the only 1980's uniforms not in the game plus Milwaukee and the White Sox are the only teams not to have 80's uniforms in the game.

So anyone else lose CPU roster control?

Is everyone who is experiencing the inflated strikeout numbers against the CPU using the Classic pitching mechanic?

I've used meter before but switched to classic in order to have less control over each pitcher because of the inflated K numbers. It definitely helps. I average about 6 Ks per game with my best starters and lucky to get any with a subpar reliever.

And that's with not trying by half way through cause it's such boring gameplay. When I lock in and attempt for strikeouts it's easy to get 12-15. So stupid to me what they've done. Never had this issue before and I've used classic pitching interface, and use API mostly for 13 years.

Just throwing this out there. I am on Allstar with pretty much default settings but I do play with umpire set to perfect and also check swings off. I average around 6-11 K's per game. Perhaps not so many on the black called strikes and less strikes on check swings. Just a thought you might want to try.
