The Burdon of proof is on the accuser, not the other way around. So, where's your proof they're lying when they say no gameplay changes? Because so far, all I've seen from you is you making claims without any proof, then name calling and saying "your reading comprehension must be bad" when someone gives you a reasonable explanation, and proof for why your claims are untrue.

That's not how things work, man. If someone makes a claim that something changed, it's on them to show the data to demonstrate it. It's nobody else's responsibility to prove that something isn't happening.

I don't think game dev is that black and white. I do believe there is not a zero chance that they could have changed something elsewhere that could bug something within gameplay.Comment

Re: MLB The Show 23 Patch #12 Available Today - Patch Notes
They definitely didn’t change anything. Right after the last patch, I couldn’t hit worth anything and was scoring 1-3 runs in those games. Then 5 games later I crushed 12 runs on 20 hits and 10 runs on 22 hits.
The game has its flaws, but you can’t expect to hit consistently because of the differentiation of pitchers, their pitch types/speeds, and their attributes. Just like in real baseball, you run into guys you just can’t hit or have much success against and patches don’t have anything to do with that.
I understand why people would think there is a change due to a sample size where they aren’t having success right after it’s released, but baseball gaming isn’t the same as soccer/basketball/football where you can exploit the defense to guarantee scoring the same way every time. Sometimes you’ll hit, other times you won’t. It’s variable, as it should be and one of the more enjoyable parts of the game for me.Comment

MLB The Show 23 Patch #12 Available Today - Patch Notes
Every game forum on here always has guys worrying about what a patch a will do to game play on patches that specifically state no changes to game play.
But these guys here don't understand this for some reason.
Anyway glad to see someone else understands this isn't just a straight back and white issue.

This could possibly be the first game in modern sports history where this happened. lol Just my opinion.
One thing I have noticed from launch until now is that the cpu seems to strikeout looking a lot less. It seemed to be unbearable for me at launch. But that's also anecdotal which you have to understand a lot of this would be. I didn't keep a log of how many looking k's the cpu had to compare to now.Last edited by djflock; 07-12-2023, 08:50 PM.Comment

You make valid points. I also don't know if I buy the fact that they made a perfect game ,gameplay wise, and havent needed to touch one thing all year. The devs just moved on to next years game at launch and didn't need to touch anything up this year.

If there was a glaring issue with the gameplay, they’d def change it. But outside of a few minor rare glitches, it’s not needed.
Also they want to focus more of their time on content for this years game and moving to next years. So not tweaking the gameplay helps stabilize what they are adding in.Comment

Re: MLB The Show 23 Patch #12 Available Today - Patch Notes
Does anyone else have a weird glitch where if they show highlights of a player with multiple home runs during a night game, his next at bat is during the day? Then it goes right back to night again? I almost always use my created stadiums, so I don't know if this some issue there.
No big deal, just wondering if anyone else has this happen to them.Comment

Hopefully they can fix it at some point.

Thanks. That's why I brought it up because like you I thought they had fixed this in MLB 22, but then I saw it again two or three times in the past couple of days.Comment
