When it comes to graphics, I just don't think we'll see a big change until they update their art style. I do think there's a chance we'll see a leap once last gen is left behind. Like I said, EA CFB is slated to be current gen only. If that's the case, then I don't see Madden still being cross gen. We're at the point where last gen sports games are just seeing roster updates and minimal feature updates. With console supply not being an issue anymore and being in middle of generation, only point of continuing cross gen period is to maximize sales.

I would like to see them just do PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Unless the next version of Switch is at least at par with the last gen consoles, would like to see Switch versiob dropped as well I rather them go all in on the Power of the current gen consoles.

It’s easy to speculate but it’s up to Sony when they ditch last gen. If the game still selling well on last gen they won’t leave it behind with this game.

Re: Possibilities for 24 The Show

I will be buying MLB 24 for three main reasons, namely:

        1. Hopefully many additional names in last name database.
        2. Updated rosters
        3. Additional Negro League stars and perhaps additional old stadiums. I am hoping the players from 23 and the Negro League stadiums in 23 will both carry over to 24.

Other than that, I do not expect any big changes. Yes, there will be some new veterans in diamond dynasty and there will be some tweaks, but I do not expect to see carry over saves, possibilities to restructure the leagues, season mode or any other giant leaps forward.

Maybe being mutl-platform now might help ditch last gen. I can understand wanting to keep last gen along(especially if it is still selling well enough) when you're a first party sports game. But with it being mutl-platform now, maybe Sony might feel comfortable ditching last gen.

Even if they do ditch last gen…we won’t see a true next gen game until 2025…2024 will still be the same as 23 as far as graphics/gameplay…hope I’m wrong…still a day 1 purchase for me

It feels like this is the right time to ditch last gen except for one small holdup that there is no next gen for Nintendo. So even if its PS5/newXbox only, plus the Switch, it probably wouldnt be different than also releasing it for PS4 and oldXbox.

Part of me thinks that the Switch wouldn't be a holdup. The other sports games aren't on the Switch, besides EA FC. I'm not sure how well EA FC and MLB the Show even sells on the Switch. Unless, the next version of the Switch becomes strong enough to mimic at least the last gen consoles, I'm not sure there would be a strong sports game market for the Switch. There has been rumors about the next Switch, but I don't see the next Switch coming before 2025. So I don't see Sony holding onto the last gen versions because of the Switch

What’s the chances of connected franchise? Madden has it and I love it.

My biggest problem is they took freedom away from the game.

                  Wishlist
                  ——-
                  1. Playoff mode with friends online and ability to use computer for some of the players.
                  2. Exhibition mode online with custom rosters and sliders.
                  3. Connected franchise online able to use computer players and people like in Madden.
                  4. Please stop with all the home runs. Make this a more realistic game.
                  ———-

Anyways I just feel like since they started making money off diamond dynasty they stopped allowing us to use custom rosters and sliders with friends. Let me play the game how I want to play it.

Does the Xbox controller have a built-in speaker like the PlayStation controller? Because what I'd like to see is an option to change the catcher from giving hand signs which pitch you want thrown to a new animation of the catcher not showing his fingers, instead hearing ''4 seam fastball'', or ''curveball'', over the controller speaker. Are any teams in real life still using the traditional sign pitch calling method?

This is great…take it even further and being to say warm up Chapman instead of having pause the game

Agreed. That glitched, more-zoomed fielding view early in 2023 was awesome. Coolest thing to happen to the game in years. I was so bummed they didn't leave it.

Better presentation to further bring it in line with real game broadcasts. Give us interviews between innings, bring back sideline reporting but make it better. Just more immersion in general.

                              Better postseason atmosphere as well.

It feels like lots of the presentation has actually been stripped back. In 23, I feel like I barely see any walk up animations anymore either. It just fades to the next player at the plate already. Also they really talked up the exterior ballpark shots before release and I think I’ve seen them maybe 3 times since the game came out.

Also, a refreshed and more cinematic RTTS experience.

I really wish they’d bring back the real time presentation for those who want it. Every year they strip things down for the purpose of making games faster, which completely kills the immersion for some of us. I get why some people want to be able to play a game in 20 minutes, but that shouldn’t be the norm for those that do not want it.
