No Y2Y Saves and No Pre-Launch Tech Test for MLB '24

The FAQ page has been updated on the show's website (theshow.com) and not surprising to anyone, there will be no Y2Y saves in MLB '24.

What is surprising is that there will not be pre-launch tech test this year.

Playstation 4 and Xbox One are digital only. No disc version.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

It was extremely unlikely to begin with, but still no PC release sucks

With PS4 and Xbox One going digital only, this is likely the last year it is on last gen. Maybe they will get a year reprieve but it looks like the end is near

Every year it's the same thing. Wait til next year for graphical upgrades. Honestly at this point it's old.

Was really looking forward to a “next-gen” only release this year if that’s what you wanna call it.

If the Nintendo Switch 2 releases this year as expected, it'd be surprising if Last Gen didn't get a release. If the Switch 2 is delayed, however, I'm sure there will be last gen versions again. MLB isn't going to leave behind an entire player base like that.

Nintendo is going to always be the outlier as they are never going to put out a system that is "current gen". Switch 2 or whatever it will be call, will likely have specs akin to a PS4.

Hopefully with Ridin being on the Team for almost a year the Launch Rosters will almost 100% Accurate?

                    Hopefully!

And no tech test this year what's that about?

Do they they want a very buggy game at launch?

I misread theshow.com FAQ page about the Tech Test. I thought they said there would be a Tech Test again this year. Thanks for posting this!

But you're right, this is surprising. But maybe there's no tech test bc not a single new feature will be announced this year at all. I'm kidding, but also, maybe this points to SDS belief that the core game is solid, new features are not very impactful to performance or whatnot, thus there's little need of testing.

Lol. Yeah, we'll finally get a current gen leap a year or two before PS6 releases.... and then have to wait 5 years into PS6 lifecycle to see any further leap.

I am resigned to the fact that there will probably never be Y2Y saves again, but why won't they allow Rosters to be imported from previous years like they did in 20? I mean they allow all the logos and things to transfer (in the Vault) why not let the Roster creators transfer their rosters the same way?
