Said it in the cover reveal thread, graphics are not everything. Grow up in my era, where Ken Griffey Jr baseball on SNES was king. Couldn't care how it looked, was a blast to play.

So the graphics are a little outdated, IMO it plays great and that's what matters most.

Need franchise mode additions/improvements to make the long haul worth doing.

      Amen brother.

Now hey if graphics is your thing....I totally get it.

But a lot of us old cats in these parts think today's sports games are dreamy man.

I remember when Intellivision baseball gave me a woody coming from Atari 2600 which had 3 total players on the field (if you even want to call it that) to 9 on Intellivision. I had the 2600 so my parents were in no way getting me another console.

So we played at our buddy's house who was lucky enough to have an intellivision.

Anyway cool cover. Vlad is a baller.

I am sure the game will play a crisp brand of baseball.

And for the record 23 was a big upgrade for me in many way over its PS4 predecessors. 21/22 were not my thing......but they really found a groove again....it should carry over to 24.

I think 25 is when everyone is going to get that sharper graphical upgrade they are craving for.

But for me franchise/customization features and gameplay reign supreme.

Curious what new franchise features they will reveal.

right so last year I only bought the game for the new playoff system and updated twins jersey.... this year??? you gotta wow me now otherwise I will just keep my season alive with 23 with the rosters I updated myself.

with the amount of games I have now RPGS released in feb and March I am not excited about it this year yet that could change in 2 weeks but right now it's just another MLB the show game.

It is kind of sad how much he have leveled with SDS. We really really parsing and choosing wether we want graphics OR franchise features. We should be able to have both.

There's no surprise about year to year saves, the only surprise would have been if it were returning. The tech test I am surprised tho. I guess it's not needed and that has to be a good thing, I hope.

              Speak for your self lol

I am 48 years old so I also grew up in that era and before that and have pretty much played all baseball videos games from the beginning. And even way back then it always upset me that the baseball games could not look way more life like!

The 2 things I care about the most are Gameplay and Graphics and the gameplay is already more then good enough which is why I and a lot of gamers like me keep complaining about the graphics.

I'm all for an advance in graphics, so long as that doesn't mean taking processing power away from the gaemplay physics. If Sony finds it can't do both, I'd rather have a utilitarian vehicle that gets me where I want to go than a fancy looking sports cars that can't handle a load.

The thing that’s frustrating though is that we all said this same thing LAST YEAR. That 24 would be the one we finally see an upgrade to graphics. We all waited an entire year for good news for this year regarding this and doesn’t seem like we’re gonna get it. We’re just gonna keep saying it year after year. Sick of it honestly

Is it for certain there is no graphics/player model update? All I saw in the reveal was real footage.

Yea, it's just an assumption. The only game footage we saw today was 23's Home Run Derby, as part of the reveal thing.

Yeahhh so MLB 30 will be the title that finally gets PS5 graphics. Can’t wait guys. Anyways, I hope everything is hinting towards proper WBC implementation. I’m just tired of the recycled graphics and animations. Game looks pretty bad at times coming from other games.
