How Should I Play The Show?

After seeing all the new rosters come out for 23 by ATG and others, I'm really looking for ideas on how to play The Show 23.

A bit of background, most gaming I do is with Steam with a Steam deck (if only I could play TS23 on the deck ). This includes MVP 05 and the classic seasons/teams from there.

I'm looking the best way to do so.

1) Xbox S|X

2) PS 5

Is there anything I'm missing? I'd be looking to play other games as well, so any preferences on that or TS 23 gameplay with classic rosters?

Are there other options I'm missing?

The way the game continues to look graphically, ps3 should be fine.

Ignore the first reply. I think both choices are good. My understanding it’s free on Xbox? I’ve got the PS5 and the game looks stunning on a 4k tv. Scooter makes some great classic rosters, but not sure what his gamer tag is. Maybe he’ll chime in, or go to the ROSTER thread above.

I would say it boils down to a few things here..like possibly controller preference? Do you have friends that currently play on either platform?

Where I feel the Xbox may have the slight advantage is that you can get gamepass console tier for $11 and play day 1 OR you can get Gamepass ultimate for $17 and be able to play online.

Also going the Gamepass route there's also an upgrade that with give you early access, so you can ply the 15th of March, that costs $39.99...so basically you can spend around $52-53 bucks to get Gamepass console and the upgrade.

OR, and I promise this is the last thing I will mention...lmao you could just get Gamepass console for $11 try out the game and if you don't like it for some reason you're only out $11 instead of the $70+ you would be out if you bought the game out right.

It's all on you dude...lol

On the Gamepass, don't they remove older versions?

I don't think you can get '22 on it, correct?

People being indifferent at this point and the company knowing they are still selling a product despite severely lacking upgrades.

They have a monopoly on baseball and we are suffering for it.

Introduce some competition and watch how fast we’d see graphical upgrades and so many other improvements.

The guy wants to know HOW he should play the game. Why are we hijacking this thread to complain about the game. What does anything we like or dislike have to do with the OP question?


OP- I think its always best to test out all the features and see what you really enjoy. It could take some time. Hell I been playing forever and I am still working on a system to get me to get through more then one franchise season. Enjoy it, let it become your way of playing and have fun! that what is all about FUN
