I blame lack of competent competition. If there was a rival mlb franchise, I would bet my house that mlb the show 24 wouldn’t look this dated

This is how you realize they don't value that outcry as highly as you. Sometimes the only meaningful way to affect change is voting with your wallet. If all the people who truly believed in the cause spent their resources elsewhere, then change would come about. Making a loud and vocal outcry in one breath, and then with the very next breath buy that product anyway, is counterproductive to their cause. Now, having said that, I'm with the silent majority who is fine if the graphics continue to stay where they are, even if that's the way graphics will look on a PS6, 7, 8, and 9.

I didnt buy last year, and will not buy this year. I am still going to voice my opinion though.

Sure they do. The devs have their marching orders, but it would be silly to think they just disregard what’s good for the game.

It's been years since we've had the pleasure of reading articles and seeing side-by-side video comparisons between a previous MLBTS title and the upcoming one.

As one example, here is one article from when this series went from PS3 to PS4:

And here's another when it went from TS16 to TS17 and they improved on player faces:

We’re never going to see graphical jumps like that anymore though. As the power of the consoles get greater, the differentiation in graphics get less and less. It’s going to be more about the game engine and motion capture than anything else.

I agree we need a graphical update since outside of the player lighting and stadium modeling, it’s been 10 years since the player models/graphics have changed. But it’ll never be as amazing as a graphical jump as we had years ago.

Then when asked if they'll buy the next year's offering they say "oh yeah day one purchase for sure" ??!!!!

IMO that is not helping making a point to the developers, and the company making the product.

In all fairness, we can all be critical about aspects of this game series, but still LOVE to play it, as I do.

I've been a day one purchaser since 17 and that will continue with 24.

Of course, as a dedicated community we want the best in every aspect of this game. I hope we can all agree that this is the greatest sports simulation game around, but we just want graphics to be on the same level.

I didn't end up buying 23 until October when it was $10 because there wasn't anything added to the game I felt warranted a launch purchase. And I'm very comfortable doing the same again this year if needed.

You might be right but again no game is perfect. Every game made someone will say something is wrong with it. At end of the day we either buy it or we don't. I always by it regardless but that is just me.

LOL have you seen what Madden and NBA 2k look like now. They may not play well from what ive heard but they look great

Imagine 5-10 years from now when you are playing The Show 2030 with your Apple or other VR device and you are in the batters box on the field...or on the mound pitching. It's gonna happen and then we will look back on all these complaints and laugh.
