For me graphics go beyond better looking grass or player models, I also (for example) mean more jersey options; buttons open, no undershirt, chain over the jersey, tattoos for more player distinction etc.

With the emphasis on player emotions and celebrations the last couple of years this would fit perfectly in that line.

Make weather truly impact games, show slowly forming puddles of water in the dirt, make balls bounce faster over wet grass, see more errors etc.

Ok now that some ppl think we are nitpicking about graphics like water splashes etc. You guys are wrong.

The basics haven't improved for a decade!

I think I have asked for baserunner gloves in 2015 or 2016 because it annoys me seeing Ichiro on 1st base without gloves. Ramone answered my post with something like "sadly not this year but it is on our todo list for next year..." Guess what, Ichiro already retired and still no gloves in the game. Surprise...

I'm happy for you that you don't care about graphics but don't act like MLBTS is the perfect series which it is not.

If we’re talking about hair, shrubbery, and water physics in a baseball game, I think it’s clear that the base physics are fine considering it’s primary focus is supposed to be the sport of baseball. I think we’re asking for nice to haves instead of must haves now.

So in a sport where certain ballparks have splashing water as part of the ambiance and in 2024 on PS5 and Xbox Series, you don’t believe water behaving as concrete is an issue? To each his own

What stadium did water behave like concrete at? I’ve hit balls into the rays tank at the trop and into the fountains at Kaufman and have never seen the ball bounce like it’s on concrete. It didn’t splash but it didn’t behave like concrete either.

Are there people that go in to threads specifically about needed Franchise improvements just to constantly post about how Franchise is fine the way it is and doesn't need any work done? Or any other feature for that matter? Why does it seem that any time we want to talk about way the graphics could improve its always met with some level of antagonism or downplaying? We all want what we want and I don't think coming into a thread made specifically for that purpose just to say that its fine as is is going to change anyone's mind.

The thread wasn’t created solely for the purpose of discussing how graphics need to improve. It was created to discuss graphics in general.

No…it was addressed because you seem to be antagonized on the boards. I asked a fair question. Who…..? Jesus, these boards are fairly calm. One post is not trying to change your mind, as you said. People post what they see in the game and unless someone just starts trolling, or insults you, it’s all good.

But use of the words like lazy is okay? We can go on all day about word usage. We aren’t a bunch of scholars here.

It’s a forum for discussion, good/bad. As long as it’s kept mature…..if someone is trolling/insulting THEY should be called out. Doesn’t appear the mods are going to censor words like nitpicking, OR lazy anytime soon.

Grass engine? I don’t see the flickering you’re talking about. Oh, well, we’ll see what happens.

Grass definitely flickers (or specific blades of grass "pop in") during certain camera cuts. If I recall correctly, one example is when checking the first or third base umpire for checked swing calls.

MLBTS is such a great baseball video game! I think we all just want it to continue to be the best sports sim game on the market. That's where all these opinions (or "nitpicks") come from, whether we're talking about graphics, gameplay, modes, or whatever else. I genuinely think our comments on OS come from a place of love for this series and this community!

More positivity, I say; the world already has enough negativity!
