Definitely play as the cardinals. Depending on how the roster looks in game, I might move edman to second and go get bader back to patrol center. I’m not sold on edman being the every day cf and it doesn’t help that he’s most likely starting the year on the il.

See I say I’ll do that but once he’s added officially in game I know I’ll restart. It happened with me when the cubs signed Suzuki a couple years ago.Comment

Re: MLB 24 Franchise team choice?
I can no longer play with powerhouse teams. After 2020 I have no interest in doing so. I like teams that I might be able to win it all with. I don’t play multiple seasons with the same franchise so just one year. I was thinking Arizona. They have enough tools for me to compete but aren’t so overpowering that I could just run through the division or league. Plus I like teams I think I can do something with but I’m not certain so come the all star break or trading deadline I can make a attempt to acquire the pieces I may need.Year 20 of playing MLB The Show!

Re: MLB 24 Franchise team choice?
I might run with two this year. I am considering the Angels and making a drastic overhaul with relocation and such.
Guardians are my usual and this year with the first pick in the draft it will be a lot more enjoyable to scout in year one!Comment

Re: MLB 24 Franchise team choice?
I used to be like that though. All about winning. I’ve played a full season all but one year since 2006. I’ve won three championships. That’s it. I’d certainly like to win another one but for me it’s more about competition on the highest difficulty I can play while still having some fun. Right now that’s HOF. I’ll probably never be a legend level type player and that’s perfectly fine with me. I like the competition, the storylines of every season, the guys that dramatically over or under achieve. I’ll take the winning but there’s got to be more than that for me now.Year 20 of playing MLB The Show!

I met Lindor, he signed my jersey and it's hanging in my basement from when he was here in Cleveland. Needless to say I'm not as big of a fan of his as I used to be.JUUUUUUUST A BIT OUTSIDEComment

Re: MLB 24 Franchise team choice?
I could say the same exact thing, how can people have fun with constant losing to build up a certain team?
Is it my fault that the Dodgers have a great roster? absolutely not, they have been my fav team since I started watching baseball in the 70's, so therefore I always choose to use them in game, the exact same way as my using the Steelers in every football game.
Bottom line is nobody should be "questioned" on their approach to how they play the game or have fun.People are for reviews if it backs their argument, and against them when they don't.“I believe the game is designed to reward the ones who hit the hardest – If you can’t take it, you shouldn’t play!” Jack Lambert“Quarterbacks should wear dresses.” Jack LambertComment

Re: MLB 24 Franchise team choice?
At the same time, say you’re the A’s. Are you really going to build that team up and play every game without simming for 5 years? Probably not.
So how people use a crap team that they don’t have time to rebuild without simming is beyond me lol
I’m a cleveland fan so it works out. Middle of the pack and low budget. Always hard going by that.

Re: MLB 24 Franchise team choice?
I could need your guys help with that question. I have a very basic knowledge of the league, but really want to get deeper into it and at the same time I finally want to deep dive into the MLB franchise mode, since 2k disappointed me so much this year. I played the last few years more casually and had a great time, but always lost track at one point. This year things should be more serious.
What I always do in modes like this is pick one team and stick for the year with it. In general I look for teams more in the middle of the league: Solid playoff contenders, not really a title candidate in year 1, maybe some stars to build around already and pushing forward their individual careers.
I created a shortlist of teams I am looking at this year, but since there aren't really Power Rankings or previews out yet as far as I saw it's hard for me to find the correct team for that description above. Bonus points for teams with non-american stars, I always have a soft spot for them for a reason.
- Marlins
- Blue Jays
- Mets
- Orioles
Or are there other teams that come to your mind?Comment

Angels as always. However sometimes I will start one with a random NL franchise. It's usually the Rockies for me. I really like Charlie Blackmon, and the Rockies unis.Comment
