I get not wanting to buy it. I'm on the fence myself.

Y2Y saves was not coming back this year regardless of the other "nonsense" they spend their time on, though. It's been discussed before but that feature is more complex that you are making it out to be.

It was in the game previously. They already have the code for playstation. Too lazy to spend developer hours for other platforms.

Well... Underwhelming to say the least for me. The only thing that slightly moved the needle is RTTS being separated from DD. That may warrant a late cycle purchase but after buying The Show for 14 straight years at release, I can safely say that will not be 15 years. Sad to say it. But nothing I have seen has shown me this is worth a purchase from me at release or at full price.

Need to see some substantial improvements to franchise as well as seeing better graphics in the grass and dirt department.

Okay they aren't lazy. Too out of touch with franchise to spend developer hours on it. This is an extension of what they did a few years ago with a goofy idea called critical situations which is accommodating the sim players.

The game has amazing graphics and they focus developers hours on simmers.

The game has amazing graphics and they focus developers hours on simmers.

This is my thinking on them implementing these types of things into franchise. I've seen lots of people over the years asking for them to put in a way to choose how many games you can play in franchise. And in my opinion, this is their way of doing that. I can't remember if they've done this in The Show before because my memory is crap, but I know other baseball games in years past have allowed you to pick how many games you want your franchise to be. They gave you like 4 options or something.

I doubt the devs are being lazy. It's much more likely the suits are complacent.

I would not say they are lazy. I would say that we all including myself do not have a great understanding of how the game is made.

I am sure a bunch of people sit down and discuss ideas, marketing is involved, the people who care about profits are involved. It is a lot more people than any of us believe. Not just four guys in a room. And then decisions are made. It is quite possible some of the devs want to add things to the game and are told by the higher ups who control the dollar no. What are they to say screw you? Not if they want to keep their jobs. Just saying I am sure a lot of people debate in the room what goes in and what goes out.

I think you are the one out of touch in here.

It's been said a number of times on these boards that Y2Y is not something they can simply flip a switch and re-implement without batting an eye. There's a reason why no other sports games have attempted that feature. And it's also likely part of the reason why the mode became stagnant for so long, as they had to keep each new version compatible with the previous one.

You can certainly make the case that the minor updates to franchise since Y2Y have been taken out weren't worth the death of Y2Y, but Im confident that Y2Y saves are significantly harder to implement than you seem to think it is

OOTP has the feature and so does Madden 24 if you include the mods made for it.




It's actually not that hard. For Madden, I can simply make a file in Google Sheets to convert Madden 22 to 24 saves.




Heck, we even have NCAA 14 Revamped Draft Classes easily imported into Madden 24.

That's the thing, I actually celebrated when they took Y2Y out because my initial thought was that they revamped the whole mode, and then they didn't....it stayed largely the same since and I couldn't put my finger on why they took Y2Y out. Oh well.

Yeah, we alll thought maybe removing Y2Y saves will let us move forward in franchise. But if you look at all what was added to franchise since then, you know that wasn’t the case. The only things they added was going from 90-93 players, depth charts, and the new draft.

What did everyone think of the new color scheme on the menus? Looked kind of white or maybe silver?

Simple thing but still a different look is always nice.
