The very definition of omission is a person or a thing that has been left out or not included lol. I get what you’re saying though. I understand he hasn’t played one pro game yet but he was featured last year and his DD “future stars” card was super popular on Reddit. It would just be strange to allow your likeness one year, and then to turn around next year and say “nope”. But I think you’re on to something here. He is in double A so maybe just didn’t get his paperwork done in time to be a day one addition this year. Otherwise there really isn’t a logical reason for him not to be included

Once again, it’s all good. I don’t really have any skin in the game. I understand that things happen. But if you paid for early access and are Red Sox fan it’s definitely a let downComment

Re: Yomamoto and Lee
He’s in Double A though and was I. Last years roster. SDS is usually pretty good about getting the double A and triple A guys in. It’s usually the single A prospects that get omitted. But you’re right though. There will always be omissions. Just weird it’s a guy who is so highly regarded that was in the game last year. One that SDS themselves highlighted with one of the better DD future stars cards of the year

Hopefully, when this leaves the last gen, they can expand the rosters even more to like 110.Comment

Re: Yomamoto and Lee
What hurts is that the rosters in the minors are actually bigger than 26, so you have guys who are in AAA in real life that have to be bumped to AA and real life AA guys in A. Also, the IL guys have to be somewhere.

Re: Yomamoto and Lee
I didn’t even think about that. Maybe it’s the injuries that are bumping guys like Mayer off of the roster. I have got to imagine it’s got to be a mistake on SDS part. There are so many other guys you could bump in favor of Mayer who was largely considered the top prospect in his draft lol
Lets see what happens in the first update. I was under the impression for the MLB and MILB they did not need to get individuals to sign off. Those individuals are tied to the license.Mets Baseball, All Day Every Day

Re: Yomamoto and Lee
That's what I meant by bringing up the possibility of them not getting his rights. He's a top 15 prospect right now, and the top prospect for one of the most popular franchises. I don't think it was a mistake, I think it's more likely they were unable to get his rights for 24.

Re: Yomamoto and Lee
There is a union now, but afaik, they haven't done any sort of licensing agreement in 2024. Maybe in 2025; it'd be cool if SDS could get all the minor league players, including former Major Leaguers (who they presently can't get in the game unless they were on an active roster in 2023). It would make expanding the minor league rosters more feasible as well.

Re: Yomamoto and Lee
It'd be great if it was, but no, their rights deal with any player not in the Major Leagues in either the current or previous season is with the individual player. Minor League Players weren't unionized until the second half of 2022, and didn't have a CBA with baseball until 2023. Prior to that, there was no Minor League Players Union to sign a rights deal with, and there were still minor league prospects.

Re: Yomamoto and Lee
Yea, so I heard about this but the only thing that confuses me is that minor league players were never really removed. And it seems kinda off base to assume in this scenario that they basically signed rights deal with pretty much every single minor leaguer except a Marcelo Mayer.

Re: Yomamoto and Lee
There's always minor leaguers missing. Like a ton of them. Including prospects. That's why the Full Minors roster still exists. Biggest reason I don't think it was just an oopsie is because it's not a matter of them forgetting to add him. I'm sure they don't rebuild the rosters from scratch every year, as that'd be a horrible waste of resources. So they'd have had to actually remove him. And there's no reason for them to have done that if they had their rights.
