One thing to keep in mind, there are veterans on MiLB deals that will opt out of their deals if they don't make the MLB team on OD, other guys who will be DFA'd/released which will open up more space for prospects currently missing.

Re: Yomamoto and Lee
Ramone liked a tweet suggesting import/export players into franchise. No idea if it’ll amount to anything this year but would be nice in the future.Comment

Man, this would be such a huge game changer. Especially if they do it ''right'' and make it where you could import non-CAP's into Franchise.T-BONE.

Re: Yomamoto and Lee
Wasn't there an option to do this years ago? I swear I can remember exporting a new player SCEA added in a roster update and then importing it into an existing franchise. I swear this used to be a thing. Anyone else remember this?Comment

Re: Yomamoto and Lee
I hate waiting as well, so I made a little fun thing to do for myself while I wait.
Every year I always have a hard time deciding who I want to do my franchise with. I'll start with one team but then I just won't love the feel of the players or something else happens. I control the full league in case I need to rescind a stupid CPU to CPU trade, but only set manual settings for one team as if I'm running them.
So while I wait for the real updated rosters, I created a giant tournament with 16 teams I would be interested in playing as.
I'm doing it World Cup style. So random pool generator, 4 groups of 4 round robin style, top 2 from each pool advance. Then knockout round but instead of doing single elim, I'm doing best of 3, best of 5, best of 7 for the 3 rounds. This way I can make sure I get several games to play as all the teams players, especially pitchers, to get a feel.
I make the rosters as realistic as I can importing players from the vault, ect. I also give each team 1 "cheat" (I.e. substitute a failed draft pick the past few years for a created player, make one of their failed promising prospects better, ect.) It just makes it sort of fun. I also try to play as the teams projected lineup for the next couple of years. So for instance with the Padres I put Salas at C, with the Mariners I put in Montes, Young, Celesten, ect. I want to get a feel for what players/teams I most enjoy playing as.
I'm almost done with my rosters and then I will start my "tournament." I play first 3 innings as home team, next 3 innings as road team, then make my choice for final 3 innings as who I am enjoying playing as more. I plan on playing every single pitch of every game. I'm a dad of a 4 year old and a 1 year old so I really only get to play at night and the one day a week my wife takes the kids to her parents house for the day, so I'm hoping this takes me right up until the rosters are ready and I can start my franchise with my tourny winner lol.Last edited by lmd87; 03-18-2024, 11:52 AM.Comment

Re: Yomamoto and Lee
It seems like last few years, the game was more roster ready. I got the game early last year and did not notice as much. This year, got early again and qnd rosters are kaput. And we have to wait a month for them to correct something like this sucks. Next year, just gonna wait lolComment

And the rosters this year are balanced. Previously they weren't balanced . Like one team would have too many C's so when you started franchise cpu teams would make a million trades for to balance their roster. Also a year or two ago, A ball had all fake players. I don't think this roster is specifically unplayable.
What is your issue with the roster this year that wasn't there last year?Comment

Re: Yomamoto and Lee
The foreign players are just a matter of how many international debut in the Mlb that season.

I watched a “full roster” video over on YouTube and there is definitely a higher amount of triple A and double A players missing. Also a lot more top 30 prospects missing in general compared to last year. This could be recency bias, but the rosters felt more franchise ready last yearComment

Agree with this. And the reason is because SDS hired this site’s guy to do the rosters. Ridin!
And the difference has been noticeable. They are very playable.
All I did was download CAPs from the vault for the internationals (thank you for the Yamamoto ShowTyme) and I am off and running!
While it is true that franchise has been neglected, we should give sds credit for the rosters because whatever they’re paying Ridin’s team is ONLY for franchise/RTTS.
