Been looking at the uniforms as a whole some more, and for some reason the name and number on the back of the jersey as well as the logo/script and number on the front of the jersey all have this metallic shine to it in-game.

I looked again recently, and I think every single team's uniform script/text has this shine to it. I sorta take back what I said about the Diamondbacks having this shine as I guess that's just how they roll with the uniforms in this game. I just think it seems just a little too shiny for my taste, but they look fine in an actual game.

Here's Ketel Marte. Biggest flaw are the colors being way off, specifically the red and teal, but otherwise looks great. Even the cream doesn't look too overdone in the day game, just really apparent that it's off during night games/games when the roof is closed

The Diamondbacks have their first road game tomorrow and I can't wait to see what uniform issues arise from that.

Playing around last night, I've noticed their default road uniform has a black undershirt but red socks. I know the Diamondbacks love to mix and match but to my knowledge, they never wear different undershirts with socks.

And since their default road pants have red socks, their red jersey looks stupid because it has a black undershirt 😳

Currently, the in-game red jersey can't be worn correctly with any pants because it has a black undershirt. When they wear it at home, it's worn with red undershirt/socks. Waiting to see what the road combination is but I would assume it's all black, not black undershirt/red socks.

Really, this is the Diamondbacks' fault, not Sony's lol. The Diamondbacks are doing it to themselves by having multiple undershirts/socks. I don't think any other team does this.

And then you have guys like Perdomo, Gurriel, and Marte that choose to wear purple or yellow accessories haha. Just compounding the color headache.

At least we can adjust that ourselves.

I just hate that the purple option in the game just doesn't look like the old Diamondbacks purple :/ I really wish all player equipment either had a color wheel option, and/or team colors, including ones from alt uniforms

Ah you are correct, I didn't put two and two together. Using Joc Pederson as a test dummy, I didn't realize the difference between the stance socks and regular socks.

I guess to mitigate this until Sony can do something about it, I'll have to make sure nobody is wearing stance socks because I am definitely not going to switch between stance and regular socks for home and road uniforms (that's crazy).

Still have the issue with the red jersey for home games, and would really like to see it with a red undershirt for home and the already existing black undershirt for the road.

Speaking of stance socks and regular socks. When the A’s aren’t equipped with stance socks, their socks are solid yellow with the kelly green jerseys. I’ve never seen them wear yellow socks with anything.

I was so ready to hate on these jerseys based on the leaked picture last month. But honestly, after seeing the hate and the fade from light to dark....I maybe sorta kinda...like them?

The part I didn't understand from the leak was what the font was supposed to be. But now I see it's supposed to look like the font from an old document. I kind of get it. It's probably my least favorite part of the uniform but at least I get what they were going for.

But I also hate when the uniforms don't have any connection to the team's identity. There is not a single thing about these that looks like the Phillies. Colors, logos, font, nothing. They look like a bad Jaguars alternate (in a universe where the Jaguars didn't already learn their lesson about gradient uniform elements).

These are among my least favorite City Connect uniforms yet.

I actually think the gradient is one of the best looking things about it. By their very natures as "City Connect" uniforms, they're not really supposed to have a connection to the team identity, they're supposed to have a connection to the City's identity.

I'm not a fan of the whole City Connect concept (Same with City Editions in the NBA). But if I'm going to have to look at something on Friday nights, these could have been a whole lot worse.

In the past they've USUALLY been added before a team wears them for the first time. I suspect if we seen any patch next week it will be included.
