I also noticed there’s really no other candidates for two-way players besides Ohtani. I know that no one is at his level, but there weren’t any pictures that even had a chance at it. Just wondering if they’re phasing that out.

Weak Free Agents and Two Way Players
Not necessarily a complaint, but I noticed when starting a franchise that the free agent pool is particularly weak. I play as the Rays So I always look for young talent with potential to turn the bottom of my roster From free agency. There’s none of that this year, which I’m not sure if I’m happy about or not. Makes it tougher to build a team but also can’t steal some gems early on.

Re: Weak Free Agents and Two Way Players
Yeah, FA is weak by default and teams really value their players now. I'm finding it damn near impossible to cheese the CPU on the trade block now, which is nice to actually have to take a risk on some minor leaguers or give up some guys I really don't want to to get the player i want.Comment

Re: Weak Free Agents and Two Way Players
The only time I remember it being too crazy even for me was when Freddie Freeman and some other 90 overalls eere fa because of the ownership lockout and delayed spring training. Otherwise I'm fine with a lot of 70's rated fa's and maybe one or two low 80's.T-BONE.

Re: Weak Free Agents and Two Way Players
Trade logic seems much improved, but free agency is still a mess. Salary demands are way too low and CPU-controlled teams don’t compete hard enough for free agents.Comment

It would be kind of cool to see guys transitioning to relievers (Ronald Guzman, Charlie Culberson, etc) still have their fielding positions as secondary positions so in say Franchise, if you wanted to, you could carry a player that can be a backup plus reliever.Comment
