Last week I was playing in Kaufman stadium Kansas City and I was ashamed my wife would point out the waterfall which looks like a transparent pvc tablecloth.

Then it was actually me talking about the ugly waterfall[emoji28]

I've played this series for a VERY long time and I think the graphics look really nice. It doesn't mean I don't wish for improvements in some areas. There are some WOW moments though, where on my 4K TV, it looks awesome.

Amazing graphics are VERY nice to have, but will always pale in comparison to the quality of on the field gameplay.
I think part of it comes down to that the stadiums seem to be using the same base model they've been using since PS3 days. They really could use some love. IMO, player models and animations have been improved it's the stadiums kind of holding things back.

If I’m not mistaken, the first year it was released there were no shadows on the field. I don’t think most people look at this game thru the most minute detail. But, we can look at some of the cool new skies and it gives us a different perspective of what we see. But, maybe our eyes play tricks. Regardless, enjoy the game.

I don't know how anyone could think these graphics are current gen and especially once Konami releases this

Can't help but make a Madden comparison here.

I would rather have a game that played well rather than one that played okay but was stunning visually.

We should get both in this day and age. No doubt about it. But if I had to pick, its gameplay. All day, everyday. The Show does everything well between the lines. Hitting and defense are better than they have ever been in.

.. I'd take features over visuals as well. That is my beef, presently.

I played Pro Yakyu Spirits. As good as it looked there were some very stiff fielding animations. The pitcher/batter play looked good but once the ball was in play that’s where it was different.

Note: I’m not going to go round and round about the merits of my gameplay impressions with that game.

I guess I just don’t spend my time looking at every lighting detail when my own eyes look at the game and see that the lighting is good. No caveats as there’s a bunch of subjectivity. I wouldn’t be able to enjoy the game otherwise. This discussion could go on forever and get nowhere.

Why is there always an assumption that if graphics improve then gameplay will get worse? The gameplay is already fantastic.

I almost hate night games at some stadiums now because everything looks so dark and dull. Signs that should be lit up at night aren't lit up at all, and just look like painted pieces of concrete. I'm in the graphics look fine camp, but signs not being lit up and popping at night really bugs me.

It plays good but looks about the same as it did in the ps4 era, with only marginal changes. While it doesn’t look terrible, it’s the worst looking of the 4 major sports offerings.

Hopefully one day we will get dirt that looks this good in mlbts. The hand guard looks nice too.

The only reason I can't play this game is 1: I don't know how to get it and 2: I can't translate the menus. But I have seen gameplay and I know that they do have high five interactions on multiple run scoring scenarios. I had not seen it lately but the graphics in that screen shot have taken a jump!

Here is the 2024 trailer the fireworks and lights from the stadium alone.

Check out this website. I have recreated the ingame menus of 2019 so you can browse them like navigating the actual game.

As I know me I will do the same for 2024.

With today's translating technology maybe it is possible to translate most of the career mode.
