Now only if the CPU players would also call time out from time to time. That would add a bit more immersion along with the pre swing as if the cpu batter is engaged in the at bat.Proud member of the 0.04%Comment

I personally call timeout while playing on legend and the pitch speed/change sliders bumped to try and reflect real life MLB pitch speeds. Calling timeout helps me collect my thoughts and try to get a hit. Because I need my average to be up and like my stats to look decent while playing on that difficulty.

MLB The Show 24 Patch #4 Available Today - Patch Notes
I can’t recall precisely when it started to happen. The bunting has been for a couple years. And they made it clear that it was due to online complaints about bunting. If a guy doesn’t hit a certain ratings threshold, the bunt regularly gets rocketed at someone or pops straight up. As for the rounding third thing, I think that’s been a recent thing. Starting with last year maybe? Frequent enough for it to annoy me, there will be a guy on second, and you’ll hit a single that would have been deep enough for them to score but they’ll dive headfirst into third rather than rounding. It happens even with fast guys with high base running aggressiveness ratings. That one I don’t know what causes it. I don’t know if it’s because of something online, I just kind of assume so because it didn’t used to be an issue.Last edited by GoDucks1224; 04-06-2024, 04:29 PM.Comment

I call timeout in high leverage situations where I need a second, rather than pausing. Or if I forget to get a pitcher warming up, or maybe I told a guy to steal but decide against it. That’s why I was upset that it might be gone. I’m glad it isn’t.Comment

I agree with your analysis in real life baseball, but I am not convinced SDS has programmed any break of momentum effect on the pitcher if you as hitter choose to call timeout. It a perfect world, this would be the result, but I don't know if they have taken it to that level. I'd expect the pitcher to lose a little accuracy or something along those lines occassionally.
Yeah I don’t know if in game it does anything but I like to think that if I get a hit or draw a walk after a timeout that it worked

I agree that they need to tone it back a bit and find a balance between the way the game uses to play with overpowered bunting and the current game that is almost no bunting in general.Comment

No prob. Steve. Also found out calling time still works in vs. CPU play within Diamond Dynasty too. Head to head games/modes are the only places where it's disabled.Comment

Calling timeout when you're batting triggers the Comeback Code.
Calling timeout when you're pitching shuts the Comeback Code off.
Okay, so maybe I'm crazy.

After the last patch they had given Tanner Houck an updated scan and his hat was suttubg super high and it still didn't look like him.
This patch updated him again and his hat is right and it looks like him.
