Rebuilding the database didn’t help but switching to game mode seems to have fixed it. Very strange that it just started happening a month ago and not right when I got the game. Hopefully this fixes it permanently

Did you have a TV update? I always use game mode but I have an LG OLED that had constant connection problems for my XBox. There was a huge firmware update a few months back and it’s fixed any connectivity issues with my consoles and sound bars. However my previous TV had the opposite where a firmware update caused issues.

I don’t think there was, although there could have easily been an update that I didn’t notice. Whatever it was it had a much bigger impact on the game than I realized. I’ve always struggled with hitting and just figured I have really slow reaction time. I’d always be late on fastballs despite thinking I timed it right and I could really only hit hanging breaking balls. Now that I’ve changed the tv settings I’m on time with fastballs and early on off speed stuff and I’m way early pitching too when I’ve never had an issue with pitching.

If you’ve never used game mode, that’s why you were late on fastballs. There is a noticeable enough lag between game mode on and off. Also older 4K TVs have a noticeable lag, even on game mode. My older TV I was always a bit later when playing on 4K vs not, but my new TV I’m much more on time. TV settings definitely have a decent amount to do with how things work, as I’ve also recently found with the handshake issue being cleared up by a firmware update.

Yeah, most TVs that have a game mode can get pretty good input lag, some can even get under 10 ms, which is negligible. But outside of game mode, it can get over 100, which is significant.

Also just a quick tip, I'm not sure what console you're on, but on the Xbox you can go into settings and enable Auto low latency mode (ALLM)..BUT don't use game mode AND ALLM at the same time as it could interfere with your image.

To allow auto low-latency mode on Xbox Series X, you need to do the following123:
Open the Settings App and then go to General > TV & display options > Video modes.
Make sure you have the following options enabled: Allow auto low-latency mode, Allow 4K, Allow HDR10, Allow Dolby Vision and Allow Dolby Vision for Gaming.
If your TV supports it, select Allow auto low-latency mode under Advanced > Video mode.
Make sure that you enable ALLM support on your monitor or TV.
If your display comes with a Game Mode, turn it off as it can interfere with your image4.

I'm sure the PS5 has a similar setting as well,glad to see you got it ironed out though.

This is the first mlb game I have played and I'm enjoying it so far. One thing that bothers me in sports games is lack of face scans. I noticed that there are a lot of players without a scan. Not sure if they release new scans in patches but I would like to see some of these added.

Why do they keep messing around with the Yankees first base coach?

When the game first came out, he had a giant beard.

Patch #9 took the beard off him, but patch #10 put a black goatee on him?

Instead of messing with the first base coach, I wish they’d just take the high socks off the third base coach and then leave them alone. Luis Rojas wears regular pants, not high socks.

this is not a thing you should do on PS5...you should use ALLM and also game mode if you have it

I agree, but for whatever reason Travis Chapman hasn’t signed over his likeness to be in the game.

Now, SDS should be smart enough and know to not put a beard on a Yankee coach; but for years this has been a problem. Last year the Yankees hitting coach had dreadlocks and a beard lol

If they don’t have the rights to somebody, they should just make it a middle aged white guy with no facial hair.

Here’s a tip for the first base coach though, if you do team control in franchise, take the third base coach from the cardinals, Pop Warner, and make him the Yankees first base coach. White guy, no beard, wears #75.

So far I can’t find another coach with regular pants who wears #67, so I’m stuck with Luis Rojas high socks lol

I wish they would just let us edit coaches so I could make them be whatever number I want.

Dumb question.

After a new patch comes out (specifically ones that include new City Connect uniforms), will I have to restart my franchise to include the updates/uniforms?

I want to start a Twins franchise and their City Connect doesn't release for a couple more weeks. Obviously I don't want to have to restart it just to include their City Connect.

Nope, you're good to go. Start your franchise and you'll get the uniforms with the patch without having to restart.
