    Re: Commentary Issues

I enjoy the commentry and I hear new stuff sometimes. But there are certain things they say most every game that needs to be removed. Like, you don't ever call the umpire blue.

    Things that need removed.

They can stop talking about Cleveland's 22 game winning streak or the all-star game that year.

    New York's suit story.

His mentioning of the cameo in Moneyball in Baltimore.

I actually don't believe I've heard any of those. I guess sometimes it depends what team you're playing with. The ones I hear most are

Matt Strahm collecting baseball cards of guys that hit HRs against him

Taijuan Walker buying a lot of sneakers

Clubhouses posting pictures of umpires and their hobbies

Do you think you could draw a walk in the majors Boog?

Overall, I like the broadcast team. Repetition in commentary is an issue in pretty much every sports game.

Yeah, it depends on what team you use. I use the Brewers and they don’t have any stories they repeat. Well they talk about the logo with the MB and the best baseball logos. I’m at the end of April and I heard it maybe 3 times in 11 home games.

Commentary has been awful since the last couple of patches. The lefty/righty split commentary has been awful. They always reference the statistics backwards. If you’re good against lefties they say you’ve been struggling etc.

This happened last year with the more patches the more the commentary was screwed up.

            Re: Commentary Issues

SDS has done a good job trying to improve the presentation. But I would like for them to improve the pregame. There are some games that they start the broadcast and say who the teams playing are and then silence while they show different screenshots of players. Then they'll go right to announcing the starting pitcher. Even if it is as simple has...the teams will match up in game 2 of this series while the (team) won the first game, the (team) will look to even the series up.

A perfect presentation that we could dream about would be more dynamic with them saying something like...the Cardinals are coming to this game winning the last 4 of their last 5 games.

It doesn’t even matter if your starter doesn’t go very far teams are really building their bullpen…..
