MLB the show runs at 120FPS on the Pro

Been trying out some of the games in my library and noticed mlb the show runs at 120fps on the pro. It’s so much smoother. With that said hopefully they actually make next year’s game look a lot better graphically. The extremely low textures, bad shadows and upgrade the reflections. Hopefully they can address the terrible looking grass during pitching and batting.

I may be mistaken here, but I’m pretty sure MLB has been running at 120fps since the base PS5 launch. Or at least that’s what my tv has been displaying.

I just picked up the Pro as well, so I’m excited to see if they’re any small improvements here considering MLB was not on the enhanced list.

I believe this is the case. My TV always switches to 120hz when I play the show. Maybe it isn't full 120 but its definitely above 60.

I’m pretty sure it’s been like this on the Series X for the last 2-3 years. Glad to see the PS crowd getting the update. Also I think it’s 120 hz but caps at 60 fps.

Series x forces 120fps output but the game is running in 60fps.

Just got my PS5 Pro today and just finished my first game on it and The Show for sure runs smoother on this console. I haven't seen any of the little hitches that you can see sometimes on foul balls or cutscenes. Graphically I dont really notice any differences. But the game definitely runs better. It already ran great on the PS5 anyway, but still nice to see some of those gameplay hitches get smoothed out on the Pro.

How does the ps4 version run? I use that one so I can use sounds of the show but it’s not the smoothest on 4K

Nice to hear it runs smooth/better on the pro but I think this game, with its graphics, should run flawless on a base ps5 if you ask me.

I absolutely agree, but we've seen the devs priorities lately...It certainly isn't on-field performance.

So after about a full day of playing The Show on the PS5 Pro, I have to take back what I said about the graphics. There has to be some sort of upscaling or something going on bc everything looks so dang crisp & clean. And I mean EVERYTHING. There's something about the lighting too that looks different. Day games look much better in my opinion. But yeah, I'm for sure seeing some graphical differences between the regular PS5 and the Pro.

I have the regular PS5 on a LG C1 and it has the game optimizer display and has said 120fps since last year I believe with that system update.


I definitely am planning on upgrading to PS5 PRO.

They need to make this game on a Switch. You think you’re getting a totally diff game? Of course the ps5 pro is going to help it look and play as smooth as possible, but this is a game that runs on a switch and series s.
