Re: MLB the show runs at 120FPS on the Pro
So after about a full day of playing The Show on the PS5 Pro, I have to take back what I said about the graphics. There has to be some sort of upscaling or something going on bc everything looks so dang crisp & clean. And I mean EVERYTHING. There's something about the lighting too that looks different. Day games look much better in my opinion. But yeah, I'm for sure seeing some graphical differences between the regular PS5 and the Pro.

Re: MLB the show runs at 120FPS on the Pro
I’m playing on Series X and it’s been like that since launch. The grass and dirt can still be improved, but everything else about the game I thought looks really nice. If anything, the models could use the most improvement as I think that would take the player graphics to another level.Comment

Re: MLB the show runs at 120FPS on the Pro
I wouldn't suggest buying one for current gen The Show unless you are like me lol... If I only played MLB, I'd still be pleased with my purchase just for the removal of visible cut scene frame rate drops alone... but this is strictly a luxury purchase IMHO.
For those who perhaps don't frequent other sub-forums, GT7 (pre-patch), Madden, NBA (pre-patch) the lighting and frame rates are improved. Madden cut scenes are 60 fps-ish (certainly within VRR range) and look way better. Gran Turismo 7 looks fantastic, frame rates way up.Comment

Re: MLB the show runs at 120FPS on the Pro
Only reason I play it day one is because of gamepass. The last 2-3 years felt like roster updates. We desperately need MVP baseball or someone else to try as well. That’s the only way they will begin to try going forward.

Re: MLB the show runs at 120FPS on the Pro
Please anymore feedback, impressions or thoughts on playing on your newly PS5 PRO keep them coming.
I only play sports titles and trying to determine if it's worth getting at that 757 price tag? I've watched every comparison video the good, the bad and everything in between.
I would like to hear more opinions from my fellow Os'ers 🙂 if it's worth it or not.Last edited by Houston; 11-14-2024, 10:38 AM.Youtube: https://youtube.com/@mlbnetworkleagu..._hz5M86fl-FbW4

Re: MLB the show runs at 120FPS on the Pro
I see exactly zero difference. Pretty disappointed in the Pro overall tbh. Although like I said in the Madden thread, I don’t have a high-end tv so maybe that’s why.Just one man’s opinion.
I don’t actually care about any of this.Comment

Re: MLB the show runs at 120FPS on the Pro
With that said, I am very much enjoying my Pro experience. For games like CFB,Madden,2K, the Pro really shines. Improvements to the frame rate, lighting/reflections, resolution, and fluidity, is really noticeable in those games.
I haven’t noticed too much of a difference in the show which isn’t pro enabled, but I thought this year’s game was already a graphical improvement. Hopefully next year’s version will build on that and take advantage of the Pro capabilities.Comment

Yeah, same is lowkey true for the base PS5. I’ve just been slacking. I’ll get on board next year probably. That said I have seen some nice improvements in *some* games, just not many.Just one man’s opinion.

This reminds me of guys playing on 1080p TVs with the base consoles and saying they don’t notice any difference.

Re: MLB the show runs at 120FPS on the Pro
Indeed. All of my positive comments were based on having a solid OLED TV. I'm specifically playing on a LG C2. If you don't have a solid monitor/TV, do not buy a PRO.Comment

When I went from my old original 4K Samsung to the C2, I finally realized what everyone else was talking about in terms of graphics. Also the input lag is infinitely better since the new TVs were made with gaming in mind.Comment
