Having walked on Petco during fan appreciation day, the dirt is like, hard as cement. Flat, hard and I’m not sure a cleat could mess it up.

              It's about time!

Probably best news of the trailer.

I don't think they needed to change much gameplay-wise anyway. AI and franchise mode need the improvements.

I’m curious as to how the new infielder reaction will impact games over the course of a season.

Especially curious how it impacts good fielding/reacting 3B on hard hit balls down the line.

The animations used now seem to be too slow and too often not triggered so that quality glove 3B can at least make a valid attempt on the ball

Im the guy who buys on Day 1 no matter what. Then I spend an endless amount of time on the roster editing everything. That being said, I love 24. Truly a beautiful game. People can argue whatever they like… 24 was the best on field game they made. Very smooth, crisp etc.

With that said…. If i don’t see anything of value… this may be the first time i pass on this game. I could easily stick with 24 and update, edit and fix the rosters. All this for what?… a few blades of grass?… come on people.

Either make a new game for a reason… or call it what it is… its a roster update with a fresh coat of paint. Aint worth my $100 or my time.

Here's my take on it. You can add all the new gadgets you want control, fielding and hitting or pitching mechanics but doesn't change the fact that these are the "new paint" to an old barn. The graphics are still the same there using hype and there usual advertisements to get everyone to look the other way or ignore that the game graphically is starting to show its age.

What's weird is there doing just now what we already live thru with EA and madden 10 years ago. Take a feature away just to bring it back with a new name. EA eventually did the frostbite engine and the skeleton thing on players recently. My point is SDS introduced PBR a few other gimmicky names to make us think the games graphics changed. I give them this MLB 16 players had the clay look, racoon eyes and we had the old bumble bee catcher gear. They made huge changes on 17 to the eyes, mouths, chewing all that stuff then. We got the hair thing and females on 24 but I'm not OMG I gotta have it like I was when I was browsing a game informer in 1999 about middle way thru there it was Dreamcast and Alan Iverson and the 2k Basketball then came the commercials about NFL 2K!! Just don't have that WOW feeling on a next generation console abd this game. I don't play them but my wife does Horizon, God of War and a few others and I'm blown away at the detail and scenery of those games. I want that kinda feeling on MLB and I'm still waiting.

I get it we came a long long ways since Atari Baseball, Sega world series Baseball even the game PONG lol but almost every other sport game has stunning graphics I'm not say there terrible on MLB but there outdated.

Some of the jagged animations and body parts on players bending unhumanily drives me crazy sometimes. They promise 500 new animations every year but I'm like WHERE?

I hated when they added the red and black fielding stuff on the Outfielders and it still isn't great now we gotta deal with it double whammy now. I hate when the Outfielders based on ratings I get but if not properly rated they look like there stuck in the mud. Now u add this to infielders going to be a lot of headaches.

They said this year giving back to the fans ? We didn't ask for any of that wheres some of the things we really wanted back? SOTS, ONLINE FRANCHISE, DEEPER FRANCHISE, A GM MODE to set ticket prices, truly relocate like madden or expansion teams. Realignment, collisions, double headers, rotating schedules.

So, we'll still see the same choppy, low fps animations when fielding and running? Great improvements!

Also, since this was a 3-minute video, I assume the rest of the feature deep dives will be about the same amount of time was well. Franchise and Storylines each have their own feature deep dive but are combined for the feature premiere. Gameplay, DD and RTTS all get their own feature premiere but not franchise and storylines. Once again, franchise gets bare bones changes that in reality are nothing more than a patch. I guarantee they will never mention any of the actual features that the community has requested for over 5 years. They are parallel with EA Sports as far as being a scumbag game developer.

Man, I had my hopes up too high after they announced that they were dropping the PS4/X1 generation and leaving gamepass.

I couldn't be less impressed with what they have revealed.

Unless something drastically changes, I'll be getting my baseball itch scratched by OOTP only. Maybe I'll pick this up when there is a big discount.
