Re: MLB The Show 25 Feature Premiere - Gameplay Updates Tomorrow at 2:00 PM ET
I only caught the last 5 minutes so I don't mean to harp on a negative, but I was a little disappointed to see the same The Show Them Score Bug from last year. I at least look forward to a refresh on the Presentation from year to year. (Besides the MLB Network Theme which for obvious reasons carried over year t year until it was gone).
I also realize the footage was from a "Work In Progress" version.Comment

Really sucks no mention of GOAT difficulty.. also looks identical visually to 24, I’m not seeing the improvements to dirt, grass and lighting some others are seeingComment

I really think they should create a generic network instead of just adding network to the name of the game. SDS Network would even be better a la 2K Sports.Comment

Re: MLB The Show 25 Feature Premiere - Gameplay Updates Tomorrow at 2:00 PM ET
For anyone who was curious but doesn't want to watch the whole video, 4:40 of the youtube video is when the new HR sequence came up. Showed the out-of-batter's box reaction of the hitter from the usual view but then hard cut to the wide view of the ball's flight, eventually landing out in the seats.
If that shows up a lot on no doubters it's a pretty nice compromise for those who wanted the old HR cam back.Comment

Yeah I'm not sure about why it did that, they might have been in fast play presentation. Later, during the live play section while they're showing off the HR meter several balls get over the fence and it cuts to the player rounding the bases, so I think those had it set for Hybrid or Broadcast.Comment

Wouldn’t surprise me. They make games faster and faster every year.Comment

Not to create false hopes, but somewhere they mentioned all this can be turned off for those who prefer Clean Screen option. They meant we can turn them off all in once ? not sure.
My pet peeve every year is that R2 Hint Widget that is displayed all the time on batter screen( next to the pitcher) and is totally useless once you played a couple of games and you know what R2 is for. I know we can turn it off completely, but when you want to access to that feature it’s a bit annoying.
Other than, a little deception on the number of features this year on gameplay but what they have implemented look solid to me. I love Chris Gill BTW…..very smart guy with high focus on realistic gameplay.Comment

Nice to see the new stuff in action. Noting groundbreaking, but these look like nice additions.
Also nice:
- GOAT Difficulty confirmed for pitching - I figured it was but saw a lot of people speculating that it was just for hitting since they didn't mention pitching in the video Tuesday
- They confirmed SW in the pitch selection is a Sweeper, so nice to see that added as a pitch option since so many guys use it nowadaysChicago Cubs
Michigan Wolverines
Thanks Peyton. #18Comment
