I think it’s okay to love this franchise and still be critical of the lack of graphical improvements. The reality is that this game has not advanced significantly from a graphics perspective since the PS3 days.

I love The Show. Been buying this game since 2005 and will likely buy again, but it is okay to admit being disappointed when you open up the first screenshots this year.

SDS is not utilizing the full potential of current gen technology.

I just had a daughter a few months ago so being able to play as her has been the only way I could make the experience feel at least a little fresh.

It has always played a solid game of baseball. But at this point, the visuals are simply terrible. Yet the way the fanbase seems to talk about the graphics, why would they put any effort into ever improving the way it looks? Y'all will bend over and take anything they give you with no grease.
Sure I will and smile about it! You know why? Because I have a choice. A choice between buying anything they put in that game and bend over with that same smile or just don't buy it!

This game ain't perfect, but year in and year out, it's 400 hours of gaming and a ton of fun with what they give me. I won't speak for others, but I'm at the age where the way I spend my time is meaningful, and I don't have time to play things I don't like.

It's better, for me, to have a game with some flaws than having SDS do a "will listen to every one saying something about the game" and giving us a gaming version of "The Homer"!

Sometimes, less is more, and bending is the way to go!

I fully expect Bregman to be a Red Sox (a Red Sock?) on the default roster.
I’d guess anyone signed prior to 7-10 days before release will be on their correct teams.

Nobody here would argue the point that graphically, the game could be, or should be, improved. The issue lies with people here criticizing those who still buy/enjoy the game in spite of the need for graphic improvements. Nobody is forcing me to play the game all spring summer fall and winter. I do it because it's a great game.

Absolutely. But Mr. Saito was asking about the default roster out of the box, prior to the very first dl update.

FWIW There are actually two separate default rosters. The original MLBTS24 default roster has Cody Bellinger as a free agent, after reupping with Chicago on February 27. There is a second roster that becomes the default roster after you start downloading the update patches. JD Martinez is a free agent in that second default roster as well as the original hard coded disc default roster. Blake Snell is free agent in the original hard coded default roster but not the second default roster.

The major differences in these two default rosters is the original hard coded default roster can only be viewed if you reinstall the game with zero patches. It has all the original player card pictures like JD as a Dodger. Once you update and install patches, JD is still a free agent in the default roster but with a Mets player card picture replacing the Dodger player card picture.
