Re: Some franchise gameplay by DaddyD
On the other hand I don't understand why only the Dodgers would be in the game, so that makes it kinda tricky.Comment

Re: Some franchise gameplay by DaddyD
Just watched Mills stream from last night and he talked about bullpen logic.....
He did a sim and highest innings he saw for a LR was 98 innings.... And said it seemed like SU2 guys were getting used.
He did stress small sample size, so guess we'll see.Milwaukee Brewers | Green Bay Packers | North Carolina Tar Heels | Wisconsin BadgersComment

Yeah like I said I don’t know why this keeps showing up, and why it’s just a random few teams. Hopefully this just isn’t the final build.
But rewatching the Rays had only played 11 night games
The White Sox only 9
The Astros only 11
This is halfway through May.Last edited by bronxbombers21325; 03-12-2025, 11:07 AM.Comment

Yet the top relievers have 55 and 60 saves. So it’s a mixed bag. We’ll only be able to tell when we get to test for ourselves.Comment

Ah I forgot about that one. Not great, but Dominguez was performing quite poorly in the sim. If he's hitting below the mendoza line into July then his prospect hype would fade pretty significantlyChicago Cubs
Michigan Wolverines

This, plus we’ve seen crazy trades before. As long as they don’t become the norm, then I’m cool with it. A crazy trade every now and then is fine with me. It’s still better than my franchise in 23 where both Elly and Bobby Witt got traded away for depth players. At least in this case Lowe is a real solid 1B who was performing well while it seemed like Dominguez wasn’t doing much. Not a great trade but much better than years past.Comment

That said, I think people overrate prospects generally in trades, and some of what we see in the game isn’t as crazy as people make it sound. I think the game struggles with guys who are in the process of graduating from stud prospect to real MLB star. Their ages are in “prospect” territory and their in game overall may not have caught up to their real life performance, so the trade logic may well see them as more of a prospect than they actually are.Comment

If you are referring to the bonus allotment screen for signing draft picks it's the same as '23. Player has a bonus demand. Owner has a bonus allotment pool.
My recollection of '23 was the money for signing draft picks didn't come out of payroll.≡Comment
