Just heard Boog stating a player was facing a former team and has extra added incentive to perform well.

Does anyone know if Julio Rodriguez still throws up the "X" with his arms in the game? I haven't seen it

It's August....can we get the jackets off the third base coaches? The Show is so good with details and this oversite has gone on long enough.

A animation I had never seen before? Grounder between 1st and 2nd, Rice goes too far to get it, Rodon is late breaking to 1st and isn’t getting the runner, I flip the ball to him anyway, Rodon slips and falls to the ground, misses the ball and it trickles to the catcher. Very cool looking in real time.

I’m not sure if it’s a “little thing “ but I purchased a brand new monitor for my PS5 and it’s absolutely unreal. I thought it would simply help with any lag issues I was having with my tv that I thought wasn’t that bad to be honest. It’s substantially increased the graphics as well. It’s amazing how this game looks now.

These are probably going to sound stupid, but ...

For as long as I've played this series, I've always set the umpire's calls to perfect. When I started my dynasty with 25, I decided I'd give personalized calls a shot. A little thing that's added a lot to the game for me. I don't know how many times I've said "that was a strike last inning!" just like I would in real life. LOL.

I've also always turned the ticker off because I found it distracting when they first added it. Decided to turn it on last night. Again, added so much immersion just reading the news that teams are interested in Bichette and Vlad (FAs for the fourth-place Jays in my dynasty). Going to leave it on going forward.

Yeah the ticker gets better and better the further your season progresses.

I'm going to add another one that's probably already been mentioned: Defense matters.

I'm playing the Phillies in a key late June series. I lost the first game, in part, because Jurickson Profar is a terrible defender with poor reaction time.

With a lefty on the mound, I started Eli White in the second game. With the Phillies rallying in the sixth, Schwarber rocketed one to left. White got a terrific jump and used his speed to track it down at the warning track. Probably saved the game for me. I normally put White in for defense in the late innings, but I felt like a genius for starting him since that play came in the sixth.

Also started Nick Allen over Orlando Arcia in that game, and Allen made two terrific defensive plays to save runs.

No doubt, you can't hide poor defensive players anymore in the game. It'll come back to bite ya at the worst times it seems.
