Stadium Accuracy/Feedback Thread For MLB The Show 25

    Hey All,

Wanted to start up this same thread that we've had previously which I've always found productive.

The SDS Dev team made a ton of great progress on stadiums for this year's game and I think at least part of that can be attributed to the information folks provide in this thread.

As such, looking to keep that momentum going.

To start, I submitted feedback via the tool on Shownation for Target Field. As of now, the "Minnie & Paul" sign out beyond centerfield does not light up and is dark during night games.

Sent in-game example photos and a couple of real-life photos for comparisons.

I like having the thread but in this day and age I still don't understand how the art team isn't already aware of what needs updating.

A few things that I'd like to see corrected/added to Angel Stadium in the game.

Very easy. They don’t have time to go to all 30 stadiums and rely on photos to see what the stadium looks like. Teams don’t update them every year unless it’s a major change, and even then they don’t necessarily get that info. Think of the Mets scoreboard where they put in the rumored one that was hilariously oversized and didn’t fix it until the second patch.

I thought so. IMO MLB should be more concerned with how theyre represented and make damn sure Sony is sent all pertinent info. I guess I've become too accustomed to MLB management halfassing too many things far too often.

The other hard part is that a lot of stadium changes won’t been seen in game unless you search for them. They have gotten most of the major changes updated. I mean look at what they did with the Rogers Centre when they had their huge renovations the last few years. But yet it took them awhile to get the bushes fixed in RF at Comerica.

At the end of the day it comes down to getting the information, then once getting it deciding whether or not it makes sense to do the work to put it on all (i.e. will it be noticable).

This was my thought process when I would send stadium info thru their feedback form. I’m not going to know every detail of every stadium but I’d give them all a general look and see what caught my eye as the focal points and if The Show didn’t have it I’d mark it down, find pics and links, etc. I’m not naive enough to think I was the only person sending stuff in, but it was nice to see changes reflected.

Judging by YouTube video, one I always look for - the White Sox’ 2019 right field section changes - haven’t made it in yet. It’s not a huge difference or anything but I would’ve thought it’d be updated at some point. I sent in pics from every conceivable angle I could find. It’s even been rebranded since they added it!

An authentic Steinbrenner Field needs to be patched in once it has been transformed after spring training.

Camden yards issues have been there since I messaged Russell back in 2015. No excuses.

I rarely play at Camden Yards since I’m more of an NL guy, but what issues do they still have?

Also I wasn’t making excuses, just saying it’s not easy to manage year to year changes for every stadium, especially when some are either not or rarely seen in game. That’s not an excuse that’s just reality.

I’m still waiting on them to remove the stupid TV screen behind home plate at CitiField since I see it every time I pitch and it’s never been there (not since after the first season at least). So I get the frustration.

                          PETCO Park -

Right Center field "Party Deck" needs to have fans there. Same with the park in the park. And for the love of God make the crowd brown and yellow!!! Game STILL has everyone wearing Blue and 5 year old gear.

The game added the new construction that finished last season updating the park in the park but can't change colors of t-shirts/jerseys? I'd settle for even the old gear the game has if they just updated the color of it.

Eh I'm past frustration, because I offered my research And help in the past. However that's not your fault at all and I'm not directing that at you.

                              Agreed

Also, fix right centerfield wall and put back the Cobb and Greenberg statues.
