No Drake Baldwin audio sound?

I was looking at this Braves young catcher, is it just can't find audio for Drake & Baldwin or are they missing? thought they are pretty common enough to be in the game?

His name is unfortunately not in the name database to select. But if you use the SDS version of him, the announcers will say his name.

oh wait, so do all the SDS version ones have announcers say their names, even though there's an option to add audio sounds?

I believe most of the time that is the case, especially if it’s a SDS player in at launch, but not 100% sure.

This IMO is a very silly oversight. If there is audio recorded of the names, there’s really no excuse for the audio to not be selectable.

It’s because the full names are done together. Most players, even CAPs, have full audio names now, so you don’t have to assign them.

So the bottom line from this is that there are lots of possible voice files for additional last names which could be added to the database if someone took the time to capture them from the existing sound files using an editing program!

The announcers do day his name despite not having those names as an option. Same with A.J. Smith-Swaver.

Yes except they won’t fit into the commentary because of the tone of voice used. That’s why they record them all separately.

As I stated earlier SDS only added 88 more names this year to the last name database. Rebuilding the database must be extremely low on the priority list.

I don’t think it’s that. They added two brand new PA announcers that they had to record. Also Boog is doing a lot more between Marquee, ESPN Radio, and ESPN College Basketball broadcasts so I can see it being harder for them to find as much time to get with him to record new lines. Still need more names, but not surprised based on those two reasons.

I don't know what happened with all the missing audio names for created players but hell, ANTHONY isn't even in the last name audio
