Played my first and only 'Extra Innings' game the other night. Upon completion, I was told it would be reviewed. Pretty sure I never received anything from it. I know my coin total did not increase.

Haven't tried any Extra Innings games since then and won't until I hear of this being fixed. These games take >45 minutes and I'm not planning on playing any more with 0% chance of a reward.

So, it looks as though it's either head-to-head or vs. the CPU for the time being.

Speaking of card odds after an extra innings game.... did they intentionally remove the drop chance that looked like this?


Common - 10% chance
Bronze - 55.8% chance
Silver - 24.5% chance
Gold - 4.5% chance
Diamond - 2.7% chance


When I have Legend selected for the difficulty against the highest rated team, my chances are the following:


Common - 0%
Bronze - 36.2%
Silver - 51.9%
Gold - 11.7%
Diamond - 0.2%


Just wondering if the odds were lowered in the last patch. I couldn't play for a few days before and about a week after 1.02 came out. I'll try to find out if this was intentional incase no one else understands that change either.




Oh, and when the chance for a diamond could go up to 2.7%, I remember the chance for a gold was also higher. For some reason 14.7% is what sticks out to me.


Edit #2: There isn't anything mentioned about this change in the recent patch notes or any of the server maintenance changes. Please correct me if I'm wrong though.

You're right. They stealth nerfed it just yesterday. I'd been playing pretty much nothing but Extra Innings and I noticed immediately that they dropped the % chance for gold/diamond drastically.

It's still broke. It's beginning to lose it's appeal.

Same thing for me. Haven't got a single card in like seven games. It sucks because I play the harder teams and the odds match those of playing the cpu real teams on hall of fame. I hope they fix this.

The reward percentages are actually better now on everything except diamonds.

Common odds went down, while bronze, silver, and gold odds all went up.

So I'm fine with the reward changes.

What's not cool, is how Extra Innings games are still not being processed correctly after a month of this game being out.

It only processes my games when I lose lol. So my record is like 1-10 (I don't know how I got 1 win processed but I'll count myself lucky I guess?) even though I've played probably 40-50 extra innings games or something like that.

Well since this thread is about extra innings, I assume this is a good place to ask. First I should add that this is the first year that I've played any online mode. Anyway.... How do you get the bonus rewards that the description promises you'll get? When I check my extra earnings tab, it's just blank, and always has been. Is that bugged too, or is there some other factor that I'm overlooking. I assume your team winning their game while being controlled by the AI is necessary, so we can just skip that part. =P

The offline part of this game mode is a flat out JOKE. I actually had pretty good success the last couple weeks until yesterday. 3 straight games "Went to the queue for processing" aka "a giant middle finger and have a nice day" i wasted about 3 hours worth of gaming on games that didnt count. Also, pretty sure the team history or w/e its called doesn't even work. Everytime ive checked my history of games played and DD extra earnings - completely blank....since launch day. wtf. why? ive played at least 100 games lol.


Pretty close to giving up on this mode. Offline players are getting sh*t on this year.

I've played 5 head to head games today (won them all) and I got the processing message after 4 of them. I love MLB the show but I had to quit franchise mode because the game froze after after manual played game (and if I had auto save it would corrupt the save), and now DD is becoming unplayable. If they dont come out with a big patch for some of these issues i might have to go to something else for a while.
