Re: Triple Play Challenge
If it interests anyone, I made a more boring/less stubs version of the challenge for anyone who doesn't want to be pressing the throw button or watching/hearing the game constantly. It's just a pitch and an automatic double play. I get 257 stubs per attempt (I got 411 on the HOF triple play for comparison) and can finish it in under 15 minutes by just hitting X twice a second or so to make it run.
If anyone wants to give it a shot, I named it "HOF Double Play No Fielding Challenge"Last edited by DiSaStAx94; 06-18-2015, 01:31 AM.Comment

Re: Triple Play Challenge
This makes me crazy! I've been trying to earn enough stubs and make moves like gangbusters to get a Mike Trout card. I've done this challenge 8 times the last three days and the best I've gotten is a gold Wilson 2k glove. Definitely jealous. Ha ha. In all seriousness though, this is a great way for someone like me to get some easy stubs to buy and sell stuff with the opportunity to get some players. I can't play much during the day because of work and a new baby. Typically only get time for an actual game at night when he goes to sleep and it's hard doing that since I'm exhausted and need sleep myself.Comment

Nice job. I checked it out this afternoon, it doesn't give quite as many cards as the normal challenge but it's much faster and way more hands off. I think I'm going to just use yours from now on.Comment

Re: Triple Play Challenge
I been playing around with these challenges and it looks like 30K in XP earned is water mark for 10 cards and 1500 stubs. 10 cards seems to be the max but 60K in XP would give you 3000 stubs but still only 10 cards. The most XP you can get per play seems to HOF triple play at 650XP or so per play. I usually go till 15K than pull 800 stubs and 5 cards than start again. Its great for stubs and cards but still very boring haha!If anyone can find a way to get 650 XP per play on double play challenge that would be best in regards to time. Forgot to add I do have all collections so this could be different for some people.Comment

Re: Triple Play Challenge
Glad you guys like it. I figured there had to be others besides me who disliked having to keep an eye on it and press different buttons the whole time. This way I can at least give 99% of my attention to something else.Comment

Re: Triple Play Challenge
I'll go ahead and advertise my community challenge here. It's called "Free stubs without even playing" I beleive. The best part is.. You don't even have to play it! What you do is put a rubber band on your controller so you bunt down the third base line. I have it set up so it will go for hours in this way, and is designed to be left running over night. I did it last night and came back to 10 cards and a few thousand stubs, one of those cards was David Wright. (I have a hypothesis that the more xp you get doing a challenge, the better your 10 cards will be). I have 2 versions, the second one is the better of them. Try them out of you guys like! I also have one that just walks you, so you don't need to rubber-band your controller. I forget what it's called now, if someone wants I can look it up in the morning.Comment

Re: Triple Play Challenge
Youre right, it is random, but when my friend and i do our 2X triple play challenges, which has twice as many attemps, we consistently get better cards. My friend has hit the jackpot about 50% of his attemps and we have multiple solid silvers for half of the other 50%. Give it a try. Get 70k xp a few times in a challenge and see what happens.Comment

Re: Triple Play Challenge
Woot Woot!!! After a bit of a cold streak, I got Paul Goldschmidt yesterday after only 45 reps. So, in a total of about 30-40 tries, I've gotten 1 Diamond, 4 Gold, and a handful of good silvers!Comment
