When I selected Rizzo and saw Heyward in the golds, I had to do a double take and make sure I didn't select the same one. Pure trash.

same player in 2 different stores and Bryant again 2nd straight week. They keep recycling the same players and becoming a joke. Not once all year has a rare card been in the store, Trout Kershaw Harper Donaldson anyone worth 50k plus in the market. How bout some legends or flashbacks?

I feel like they're asking us not to spend our tickets

For me it blows because I had a bunch of players I needed that I've seen in the captain store, not a single one in there

Glad I spent the stubs to get Thor last week and didn't hold out for some kind of special All Star thing.

I went ahead and quick sold the Anthony Rizzo I have. Because I'm sure he'll be making a return someday anyways.

It was annoying because I've had the funds for Jackie available for a week, needed Archer, Bautista, or any of the gold Indians and not a single one of them was available. More NL bias yet again.

I tried that last night. I realized after I spent the tickets on him, he was un-sellable! I've already completed the Cubs, so he's not much use for me now.

I don't have much experience playing the market and decided to give it a shot. Why would he be un-sellable?

Did you lock in the Cubs collection? (Do you have Ryne Sandberg?)

Because once you lock in a collection, you can't put players on the market. However, you CAN "quick sell" them (5000 for diamond, 1000 for gold, 100 for silver, 25 for bronze) once they're locked in. If you receive a duplicate, you may put it on the market as normal, but the card you locked in has to stay or be quick sold.

Once I completed collections I quick sold all the golds and silvers in each collection so I could have the stubs to go towards the next one.

You can't sell cards purchased from the Captain's Store. You can only Quick Sell them - 1000 stubs for a gold player, 5000 for a diamond.

The "you can't sell this on the market" icon is there on the card in the store before you purchase it.

That isn't how the store is set up. The player pools for the store were set at the beginning of the year - level 30 were gold players to start the year. Players that were promoted to diamond (Thor) or demoted to silver (Hayward) remain at level 30. Legends and Flashbacks aren't in the store because they don't contribute to Captain missions.

I'm not arguing that the design is good or bad - just that it is consistent. If you've been stockpiling tickets waiting for rarer options, you're not going to get them unless/until they expand the stores to level 40 or 50, as has been rumoured.

So many repeat players every week, yet a player people would actually want to buy (Strasburg) has only appeared once.

I was grinding hard to get Thor last week. I started at level 20 with about 100 tickets (since I picked up Rizzo the week before) and managed to get to level 30 but only 2500 tickets when he expired, so I missed him. But then Bryant went diamond so I sold my copy for 25K last night. So in the end I should be able to have both by spending a few extra stubs buying Thor, yet saving on tickets. I don't mind that Bryant will be locked as I'm trying to get Sandberg.

Captain missions begin at about the 15:00 mark. At around 15:35, Ramone says, "What makes their store cool is, there will be items that you can only get here." And at around 17:15, he says "There will be certain things that will only pop up in the captain's store."

Obviously this is work-in-progress (the reward is 255 tickets), so maybe they changed what would appear, though I don't recall hearing anything else about removing that element of having cards/items only available in these stores. So far the only thing somewhat unique is that the rewards are locked so you can't sell them (another WIP thing since the cards show don't have the locked symbol).
