It's gotten to the point where I don't even want to play the online head to head mode anymore because the odds are stacked against me in 80% of my games.

There are three problems that have caused easily stacked lineups this year:

    1) An opening week glitch that allowed people to receive division and league collection rewards without completing the entire set.

    2) Play a Friend & Extra Innings modes are being exploited to farm mission XP. In hindsight, Sony should have disabled mission XP for these two modes.

    3) The tax on marketplace transactions is not high enough, making it too easy to flip cards for quick profits.

I wish there was a version of Battle Royale that didn't have an entry fee, so I could just play that instead and have evenly matched lineups every game.

But there's no way I'm wasting 1,500 stubs to get a trash pack of cards plus some scrub bronze player and a flashback Gordon Beckham.

They should release a ranked Battle Royale mode with no bonus rewards and online leaderboards for all the people who are tired of playing against teams that have Trout and Harper hitting in the 7th and 8th spots.
1 - There were multiple glitches in the first month or so that really led to this. The completion missions, the 3x innings people got for playing conquest, etc.

2 - You just aren't stopping this. And really, I'm not sure why you would. People are playing the game, people are spending money. Beyond that, you aren't stopping this anytime soon. Tie up those two loose ends and people will figure out another way to farm xp points. Besides, I don't really think that's killing the game anyway.

3 - The tax is already high enough. You tax it any higher and the market is going to die. Besides, the tax isn't so people don't develop super teams, the tax is there so stubs get taken out of the marketplace.

I understand the frustration of people having stacked teams by spending tons of money, but I think SDS did a decent job to combat that this year. How? By the grinding missions. As I had time off from work and was in the middle of a huge move, I had a ton of time to play the game this year.

My lineup currently has these FB Diamonds: Fielder, Kinsler, Larkin, Beltre, Berra, Gywnn, Ichiro, Bautista, Holliday, Murray, Papelabon, Zobrist, Brett, Carew, Wagner, Dawson, Banks. . . I have 3 total diamond LIVE players (Arenado, Rizzo, and Betances) How much money did I spend? 50 bucks when I didn't realize that packs sucked so hard.

In addiction to inside edge, that would allow me to complete with anyone if I didn't suck so hard at the game. (I don't play a ton of online, the computer on all star is challenging and fun, I don't feel the need to play online)

With all of that said, I agree 100% about how the search engine should work. I don't think the minor league tier system is correct. It should match up teams with their ratings. It would make things a lot more enjoyable and add a layer of strategy for people.

Except they arent playing the game, they are just bunting back and forth with one another so they finish games quick, it has nothing to do with xp points, thats easy to get, they are breezing through the innings missions way too easily.

Regardless it's still gonna get done though since people will put in the hours lol. Is me finishing the innings mission for Texas on Thursday by playing the CPU 9 innings a game gonna make you feel better than me finishing the innings Texas mission on monday by bunting through a 9 inning game with a friend? Nope.

Anyone who's semi invested in the game will get all the flashbacks from the feeds they want eventually, it would just be nice to know they had earned them.

I had to struggle big time trying to maintain my rating using a mix of Texas and Mariners bronzes/silvers to get my Ichiro and Kinsler - felt rewarded to finally get them.

When half the guys got them in 20 minutes by bunting through with their mate it kind of takes the shine off my achievement in a way.

Add to that I though I'd be facing plenty of mixed up teams this year as people went after guys they wanted but it's mostly the same 9 feed mission guys that they have earned offline and taken online to begin with.

Except it will, because playing a game, and cheating your way through a game in 10 minutes isnt quite the same.

Well, you got the flashbacks AND maintained your rating, which means that you most likely will have the upper hand when matched against the "bunt grinders" due to the fact that you've been practicing and they were not.

Even bunting it still takes about 15-20 minutes to get in a game for only 81 innings. You need a minimum of 9 games to get a 700 inning player and there are some that are 2000 innings. it is still a grind.

I'm not sure why you guys seem to look down on these folks who are just trying to finish these command missions as soon as possible. Hell no I don't want to spend any more time playing the CPU than I have to, and quite frankly doing that bunting all game sounds like torture anyways. As long as you aren't doing it to other people I don't care. I don't get why "earning it" has to be as arduous as you guys want it.

their will always be in any game. the you have to do it the proper way crowd, the have to do it the quickest and easiest way crowd, and the ones who just enjoy the game. I don't get like you, why so many people just can;t enjoy the game, regardless of how other people play it.

Who cares how someone got their stubs, or how much they spent, or how they grinded, Good cards does not equal success.

Yea, I don't really why people are upset about the bunt grinders.

Generally the guys who have these so called "stacked lineups" with like a 31-29 record are terrible, and I just take extra pleasure in beating their all-diamonds lineup with my all-Giants bronze/silver lineup while I grind innings the old fashioned way.

Me and my buddies agreed at the start to purchase the MVP edition and then not spend another dime, and compete all season long to see who ends up with the best roster - its been fun, and we could care less how other people build their teams.

Cheesers are annoying, of course, but you get a good defensive third baseman, learn how to pop up a bunt or put it in the dirt, and I still have loads of fun playing H2H.

I think at the end of the day, this all boils down to the fact that 75% of the matches you play online are against stacked teams.

There is little to no variety in matchmaking anymore. User skill aside, pitching to the same monsters every game dilutes the mode for me severely.

I really hope they would have a team Rating Division, Where you could only play teams in an 82-85 rating type. Or any only Live Series Team etc. Until something like that comes in, repetitiveness will always creep in faster.

I'm not sure if it's still the case but I remember in MUT you could matchup for a game with a lower OVR and you could have your 99 players on the bench. Then, you could sub them in during the game.

There really is no way to stop this without making stubs non-purchasable or capping a teams overall, with both of those options resulting in an unfavorable community reaction. I know it's the common sense and over spoken cliche, but SCEA is a business and wants money, so why would they disable a player from paying them money for a virtual team?

It can definitely be frustrating, but it is what it is and will never change. Stubs are the most expensive to purchase out of any sport game virtual currency, as the ratio is fairly close to 1 stub = $0.01, so i'm definitely surprised when I see teams worth $500-$1000.
