    Kind of Obnoxious

Every team that plays online is out of this world stacked. There needs to be sone sort of matchmaking system that matches team rating and user rating.

Its just obnoxious playing against teams that probably have a monetary value of over $500 for us casual players.

Please, SCEA.... Make it harder to build obnoxious teams. Have the term "diamond" dynasty actually mean something.... when every player is a legend or diamond on every team, the mode loses its luster.

    Sincerely,

    A frustrated player since 2007.

The actual obnoxious part of this is a lot of these users admit to spending hundreds of dollars for these players.

As a casual fan, I want nothing to do with that... nor playing against those teams.

this is the very reason they added inside edge, but they then added more flashbacks/prime/etc type cards. but they have said many times over last season they saw people will the same teams with the best of the best. now with inside edge, people are using different players because their ratings might be better for that particular day than the diamonds. but there are prime cards that are just amazing and why wouldn't you use them.

It is possible to build a diamond team without spending money. The marketplace is the best way to earn enough stubs to do so.

I have messed around in DD some, and to my surprise, it turned out to be really fun to open packs, sell duplicates and try to improve certain positions, etc. I figured since I do not like MUT, this would not be fun, but I decided to give it a shot. It was great until I see all the created players (which really kills it for me), Reggie Jacksons, basically people spending so much money. For me, part of the fun is the grind. I don't have any ill will for the people that choose to spend real money, I just don't care for the fact that they are able to do that.

I'm with you 100%, no Diamond Dynasty for me. It's too bad because this is a perfect year for me to play it, because w/o simming it will take forever to rebuild my braves and I hate simming

They could add a game option for team ratings between certain ranges. Say under 70, between 70-75, 75-80, you get the idea. This would allow you to make different teams based on how you feel like playing that day. So you know before match making the other team might have one diamond at most...

Maybe they could do something like Fifa and NHL does. Have a tier system where you start off in division 10 and have to work your way up to div 1. This way you know what division your in and the caliber of players you are going up against. If you make it to div 1, then you will know that you will be facing stacked teams. If you hang around in div 3 or 4, then you will be playing teams from the same division/skill level.

                They essentially have that

Yes, they essentially have that, but the searches start roughly 200 skill points apart. If youre a 1600 player, it will immedially look for players in the 1550 and 1700 skill level. Thats a big gap. My opinion is that gap should be smaller to start.

I look at a game like Overwatch where it takes a literal grind to make your player standout. A lot of it is luck. There are no shortcuts.

I understand SCEA probably makes insane amounts of money in microtransactions, but it really takes a lot of fun out of the game for me when I have to pitch to Harper, Trout, Reggie Jackson, ARod and then Reggie Stocker, followed by an all-99 created player to cap it off.

I do agree the matchmaking could be a little better towards that. But I do also believe it is quite easy to build a good team without spending any real money at all. Play, work the market, flip players and hope you pack someone good. I've packed Kershaw, Arrieta, McCutchen from standard packs so I guess some luck but it is possible

I mean I hear ya, facing those stacked teams is just annoying, I got so bored last year facing the same team over and over essentially. But just because they shorten the rank gap in searches doesnt mean you arent gonna face a stacked team. Ive played one ranked DD game this year so my skill rating is like 160, I could put together an all diamond team if I wanted to without having spent anything. Ive almost finished every command and embody mission, 4 left to go. Ive played the computer ALOT haha.

With the addition of inside edge and being able to grind for diamonds on conquest, you can't really use this excuse this year. You can very easily out together a budget team of all golds and diamonds on any given day. They may technically be silvers or even golds but with the boost from inside edge they become golds or diamonds. Add in conquest, and you don't have to pay any money to get some of the best players.

I get that it can be frustrating to play all these stacked teams but that is going to happen in any of these modes, there is too many adults that have money to throw at the game to get cards they want. However I could see how this would be more annoying last year, but this year with inside edge and conquest budget teams aren't at that big of a disadvantage. You could easily get a team around an 88 OVR every day and that's good enough to compete with any team, you may have a little lower OVR but you can easily compete and beat those teams.

                          Re: Kind of Obnoxious

The last two weeks of this month are when I've really started to feel like every team I play is completely stacked with so many diamond cards that they're bringing in Paul Goldschmidt and Nolan Arenado to pinch hit.

It's gotten to the point where I don't even want to play the online head to head mode anymore because the odds are stacked against me in 80% of my games.

There are three problems that have caused easily stacked lineups this year:

                          1) An opening week glitch that allowed people to receive division and league collection rewards without completing the entire set.

                          2) Play a Friend & Extra Innings modes are being exploited to farm mission XP. In hindsight, Sony should have disabled mission XP for these two modes.

                          3) The tax on marketplace transactions is not high enough, making it too easy to flip cards for quick profits.

I wish there was a version of Battle Royale that didn't have an entry fee, so I could just play that instead and have evenly matched lineups every game.

But there's no way I'm wasting 1,500 stubs to get a trash pack of cards plus some scrub bronze player and a flashback Gordon Beckham.

They should release a ranked Battle Royale mode with no bonus rewards and online leaderboards for all the people who are tired of playing against teams that have Trout and Harper hitting in the 7th and 8th spots.

Don't assume that if someone has a stacked team that they spend money on stubs. I have a diamond player at 8 positions and i didn't spend one penny on stubs. They are all feed players or from the captain store, except for Fred McGriff.
