Re: Some of these Moment missions are dumb
I'm gonna jump in front of a *** **** train.
Did the 1st inning boss battle because I never bothered finishing it. I worked Cy Young over big time and was taking walks and making him work. Ended up with a 3-0 lead halfway through the game and finished the hits. BUT OF COURSE I NEEDED 1 XBH. And every ball hit in the gap was caught on diving plays. Every single squared up ball. I worked counts efficiently and manufactured runs by getting walks and putting the ball in play but I didn't get an XBH. I was winning 3-0 going into the bottom of the 9th and I absolutely refused to fail a stupid f****** moment because it was designed with dumb requirements.
So I get 2 outs and intentionally walk the tie in to extend the game. Eventually in the top of the 12th I get a double with Judge but every hard hit ball is right at someone and I can't drive in any more runs. I'm still taking walks like a pro because Goose has no stamina but every single time I make contact it's at someone or a double play.
And then naturally in the bottom of the 15th Greene hits a walkoff HR. The only reason this garbage even happened was because I HAD to win with an XBH. I was winning 3-0.

Re: Some of these Moment missions are dumb
I'm at 279 stars in 1st inning and everything left is full game or multi stat impossible stuff. Just spent an hour trying to do the comeback for Red Sox. On Rookie. And I can't do it. I give up. I get to 7-6 and nothing falls.
I don't think I'll ever finish this. Everything left is uber time sink or loaded with requisites that are going to piss me off.Read my OS articles: https://www.operationsports.com/author/corydell/Comment

Re: Some of these Moment missions are dumb
Finally got the Springer set done in 1st inning now. Sitting at 287 program stars now. Not sure which ones are worth chasing at this point. The steal 2 bags on 2 hits against Santiago sounds painful as does the Young triple one. Andruw World series set has 6 games to try but with the crazy requirements and a handful of game ones but the time sink with the requirements scares me.

Re: Some of these Moment missions are dumb
Im not sure why anyone continues playing most of the moments, especially knowing how the difficulties are not as advertised and knowing opposing pitchers' HR/9 and H/9 are artificially inflated. I honestly dont think the jacked up HR/9 and H/9 would matter as much if the difficulties were as advertised. Moments could be really fun if they can fix some things via patches.Comment

Re: Some of these Moment missions are dumb
I”be abandoned the moments. I can get to 300 without them which as high as I care to get. I love video games and I like baseball but none of these moments are worth the time I can’t get back trying to do something that’s ridiculously obvious how it’s designed to make you fail. The last ones I did were the Topps moments and I managed to get 16 vouchers.....what do you get for all that? Two silver cards. No thanksComment

I finally got to 8 vouchers. Silver as well. Horrible ROI, as expected.Comment

Re: Some of these Moment missions are dumb
Okay so I’ve been trying to do the opening moments challenges called “Welcome to the show” and I have finished them, however when I’m in the menu the green bar is not filled all the way and I have not received the bonus for completing all of the challenges even though every one says completed. Anyone else have this problem or ideas?Comment

Re: Some of these Moment missions are dumb
Biggest issue with those missions for me is trying to get the strikeouts. Its so hard to strikeout the computer in moments when thats the objective. You get to 0-2 and they just foul off or take everything until they can hit a ground out. Again, clearly not on veteran despite what they want to pretend.Comment

Re: Some of these Moment missions are dumb
Moments are trash for the most part. I only attempt them if I want to try to get some quick stars for the inning program. Don't really care about finishing any of them. The stuff they want you to for pretty mediocre rewards is insane, especially in the Mays and Harper programs. The Harper program is particularly bad.
It almost makes you miss grinding towards random totals.Comment

Re: Some of these Moment missions are dumb
I enjoyed the missions which added up stats. I just want them to be organic. I don't want to try and stretch every double in to a triple or stop a guy at 2nd on a triple because I need a double. It is just a little silly.
My issue is more with say hitting homeruns with Lou Gehrig. Lou Gehrig hit a home run at Wrigley Field I think it was when he was 13 playing in an all star game. Then I get to use him in the moment and I am thinking this is going to be awesome! Nope....can't hit a homerun with him to save my life. He rarely even hits a ball past the OF original position. He has to be nerfed. I use him in my DD lineup which I am assuming is not the card from the year this moment is and I have no problem hitting for power with him. The missions seem to be randomly nerfed and powered up. I don't get it. I want more of a sim experience. Give me them as close to how they should be in the game. No shenanigans! Unless it is frame rate...which then just means start backing off other things until you get that sorted. Frame rate is king in a game all about timing.....Comment

Re: Some of these Moment missions are dumb
Wow. I just booted up the young player moment. What absolute trash. A bullpen full of RHP with sub 50 control? Jesus Christ. I hit two HRs in the first inning you play to get within 1.
Then in the CPU half after they got on base, someone hit a popup to the SS right beyond the dirt. So instinctively I I'm pushing up and left on the thumbstick to get the ball but the game gave me control of the LF for some reason. No big deal right? Wrong. I'm assuming it's my boy Riley in LF and he moves like a ****ing boat. So because this all happened instantly Riley was moving towards the line. I tried correcting his path but it took him so ******* long to turn. Like unreal levels of slow.
I turned the PS4 off. That's back to back days I just shut the damn thing off in the middle of these moments because of dumb ****. Why we have to use a team full of ****ty relievers with a bunch of players in secondary positions and overcome a 3 run deficit is beyond me. That Senzel card isn't even that good.
I only have 2 left so I'll do them eventually. But **** off for now. I'll keep playing MtO.Read my OS articles: https://www.operationsports.com/author/corydell/Comment
