Don't forget that early access is dominated by the most hardcore players. Once the standard release hits, the general public and more casual players will pop up for a couple months.

        Can not wait....

Its just taking a long time to get these wins and I'm used to using a better clip. Def feels like it's playing more like hof than all star comparing 2022

Pulled trout for the world baseball classic pack! Was certain I'd get base... Only diamond pull so far was Riley

My plan was to sell all these big cards to save stubs towards Jeter/sosabut I can't bring myself to get rid of a 99 trout

Finally pulled some diamonds. Pulled Machado twice and just got Wheeler from a Chase pack. Not really pulling any big ones yet but knocking them out at least. I think I'm going to just keep everything I pull since I want to work on the NL as soon as possible to get Sosa.

Went through and flipped all my duplicates, knocked out a couple tiers of free agent/equipment collections to get free packs and just kept pulling.

Sitting around 130k right now. Also sold Wright and bought Piazza and changed the team up since I'm making some early progress in Affinity. Team isn't looking too bad for day one of early access.

Training session at 7 am and have some cleaning to do and then gonna just grind all day while the girlfriend is at work. With the East Affinity conquest done, I think I'm going to pivot to the Negro Leagues tomorrow and start churning through those. Storylines is one of the most exciting elements of the game but wanted to dip my toes into the DD waters first.

I think my order of operations will be Storylines completion then moving to the USA map since I'll have a more rounded team at that point. Then depending on stubs/pulls, I'm going to prioritize finishing the Braves. Have the entire team done except the diamonds and just need to decide when to pull the trigger.

Honestly, I still can't believe that the NL has such an amazing reward in Sosa. I think it's easily the best card of the live series collection and the NL is arguably easier to complete. Mookie looks like he'll be gatekeeping and the Cardinals/Mets/Phillies could be a big challenging. But I definitely wanna rip through the NL as fast as possible.

I'm so stoked to have Sosa and McGwire in my lineup at some point. I'm even excited for Jeter. That free 86 has a great swing and the juiced attributes should obviously play up.

Anyone prioritizing any Captain builds yet? I have Riley and Judge Captains in the lineup but don't have them triggered. Same with Pressley. I could add a couple Braves to the bench to get the boost but really don't want to take the fielding hit quite yet for a minimal boost.

Also just wanna say how much I love the UI this year. Aesthetically and functionality wise as it's buttery smooth and just feels so much better than we're used to.

If I were you, or for anyone else looking to get Sosa...I'd lock-in the Padres sooner rather than later - before that kid gets reinstated....because that will quickly become a gate-keeper.
Play the games you love, not the games you want to love.

That's a great point. I don't remember what overall Tatis was before he was yanked but I imagine he'll be the same. If he's a 92 or whatever then yeah that collection will become incredibly expensive fast

Finished the wbc program and at 19 event wins

Team affinity looks more daunting than wbc

Even moments, showdown and conquest don't seem like they get you too far in the process 😭

Once I get mookie in events then not sure whether to start ta or try to get br knocked out.

Anyone else having issues with audio in Storylines? The narrative videos have absolutely no audio. Sound works fine throughout the rest of the game but none of the videos are producing sound in Storylines.

                      Kind of a massive bummer.

EDIT: Closing app seems to have helped. Weird. Couldn't hear the intro though so I hope I can see that video again somewhere.

Hitting feels a lot different this year and, while I’m struggling and frustrated, I like it in principle for games.

But man are moments a massive chore again, especially 1 PA home run ones.

I just finished the Satchel Paige one and didn't notice any issues.

Speaking of the Negro Leagues Storylines. If you really want to transport me back in time (classic stadiums, spectators in appropriate attire) then how about getting some era appropriate music and stop playing anachronistic music.

Wasn't really planning on grinding this mode much this year, but I pulled the base Trout day 1. That's nuts. I don't think selling him makes sense as I would need him for the collection and his price usually is pretty stable.

I looked and the teams and right now this looks like one of the easier years. Only a handful of teams have a major gatekeeper. Trout being one down.

Did they do something with the pitches or the camera? I'm tracking pitches super well this year so far.

I think the game is just more stable this year. It's the second year it's on the new hardware so everything is just buttery smooth. Animations, menus - the whole nine yards. MLB The Show has never felt this good.

Completed most of the Storylines this morning after the gym. The mode is everything I wanted it to be. It's been a blast getting some of these cool stories integrated with the gameplay. Being able to build a full squad after with a huge Captain boost is such an awesome bonus.

I think I have 3 left. Moving onto either the WBC program or starting the USA map. Leaning USA map since it comes with so many rewards.

I only did satchel so far... Pulling your fielders in cause the other side said things they shouldn't have and then striking out everyone is about the most alpha thing I've ever seen in my life

Id like for them to post the documentary stuff as a stand alone. For me I don't really want to watch TV while trying to earn the cards cause I'm trying to go real fast... but this is done so perfect it makes great TV.

History Channel did a great Jackie doc and then had another series called after Jackie that was equally as good and brought up a few players that I had never heard of
