landmark game? i just dont see it... while it plays a good game...it barely looks next gen. So how could it be a landmark game for a next gen system?

i'd have to go wit nfl2k on dreamcast and madden on ps1

Give this man a prize! IMO - the list should start with:
1) NFL gameday on the PS2
2) NFL2K on the Dreamcast

I will never forget the first time I saw the NFL2k on the Dreamcast at Troyrus. Man I was in loved. That game was so pretty. lol Bought the system that day and had a blast playing it. Also beening a Vikings fan they had Moss as the cover the boy and had his animation, that was a land mark game to me.

Man me too, that game sold me. I remember listening to sports radio guys talk about it all day on their shows. I still play it to this day, one of my favorite games ever.

This is the greatest game in the history of video games. I have never gotten so into a game like I have this one. Grand theft auto,Halo,oblivion,madden,smackdown etc......MLB The Show 07(PS3) I would choose over my wife. There is nothing better in this universe!!!

Well I love my wife so I still think I would pick her over the game but anyways. I have played probably every baseball game since 1991. Heck I even played way back when Micro League Baseball and Earl Weaver was big. And with out a doubt I have never played such a complete baseball gave ever. I can't even believe how well they did this game. Sure the graphics could be better but if they went all out on the graphics then the game overall would suck. Cause we know what the excuse would be then. I am just amazed on how it plays like a real game of baseball. So many variety of hits you really feel nervous pitching to Manny Ramerez or Big Papi in the bottem of the ninth with 1 on and 2 out up by 1 in the game. Just not to many games have made me feel like being in the situation better then this one.

Heh. I haven't heard Micro League Baseball mentioned in forever. Man, I loved that game on the Apple IIe.

Yea it was fun but Earl Weaver was a editor dream!!!! My friend and I when we were in Junior High would input the new rosters every year and play it was great!!! But MLB the Show for PS3 has got everything and plays an absolutly great game of baseball.

Both of those games made me buy each system,but im stickin with the 360.Dont think MlB 07 is worth $600+,but thats me.But I could be wrong with what every one has to say about the game!

Land mark game? why yes-even just for the AI intelligence. It challenges,excites and even makes you cuss(at yourself) when you accidentally throw some heat in the wrong spot during the 9th inning to a good hitter or make a bad swing that could have allowed you to get the job done. I think the only baseball game I played more than this was Tony LaRusa back in the stone age
