Re: The Extremely Early Wish List Thread

I would like spring training to actually matter! Maybe have an effectiveness rating. IE: 0 at the start and as you get closer to the season with more AB/IP. This could also be implemented after injuries which would force us to use minor league rehab assignments or suffer the consequences. Also I love the suggestions in this thread already, especially Weather/Progressive lighting. I too liked the PDF by Bodhi. My number 1 request is to have RTTS improved for Catcher with fully customizable gear and have more weight put on the catcher in other modes, it is nothing like in real life when the catcher matters so much to a teams success.

When I create a player from the past, I think it would be fun to be able to add his lifetime stats, plus pick from a choice of 10 out of 100 selections of audio tidbits describing the type of player that is steeping up to the plate..."He has good power to the opposite field"...Spicific comments for each type of player...
Not to be over done, but have the computer randomly pick one from ten of your choices and only announce these tidbits 5 or 6 times in a 2 week period...

It could add that personal touch that the created or edited player needs...

Please cut down on the amount of wild throws to first base. Overall, I'm getting a fairly realistic amount of errors but I'm seeing way to many of these. Most of the time it isn't even on a throw that has to be rushed. I'm seeing most of them on easy ground balls to the 3B and SS.

Yes! I actually wait to see if I'm going to get a high throw from 3rd most of the time. I've run down throwing errors to ZERO on the slider and that doesn't work.

Sliders that really have an impact would do it.

Sorry if this has already been put in here but I would really like to see it be cold in April and then in late September and October in places like Chicago, Boston, etc.....and have the players wear long sleeves, see their breath, pitchers blowing on their hands to warm them up etc.

I was REALLY bored yesterday and after a few games of MLB and a few minutes to kill, I played the MLB2k8 demo. Besides the game being awful, the dynamic lighting really did bring a lot to the experience. I know it's been said in here a bunch, but including this in next years version would be incredible.

                    1. Base coaches throwing the ball into the crowd on foulball.
                    2. Catcher throwing away mask on popups.
                    3. A choice to turn Campbell and Hudler off but keep Matt V.

You know if Rob_NYY hadn't figured out the workaround for the roster bug this game would have been as useless as ASB was with the inability to manipulate the teams rosters before FRANCHISE/SEASON play.

And I STILL don't know how Rob_NYY stumbled upon the fix, but "all hail Rob_NYY".

                          Stats, stats and MORE stats.

i want to be able to see how ive done against every team

i want to be able to seee how each of my hitters fair aginst each pitcher faced.

i want to see each pitchers record vs each team faced

any and all stats you can see on your tv or hear on the radio during a game no matter how obscure they are i want them in the game.

Bunting on opening day, all star game, all post season games

pitch charting history through out the season/franchise. so i can see how any pitcher faced any of my hitters and how my pitchers did against all hitters faced...

ball boys and ball girls in appropriate parks

                          full active bullpens

rain delays/rain outs so that games can be eiter called during game or compltely reschuled for a double header later in teh seaosn or on a future day off

league wide hot and cold tracking how ASB 05 had where you could see how a team or player was doing through every 10 game span

home run derby for the asb, and futures game during the break

post game baseball tonight type show to go over every game played that day and to give highlights of each game..

                          Player waivers

                          player options

                          June draft for rookie players

moment tracker or news wire... that would keep every like no hitter perfect game, one hitter, player that went 5-5 or whatever, hit 3 hr's in a game etc etc this is something that culd be used very deeply if properly implamented

milestone tracker - notes when ever a player in the game has a milestone moment minors majors who careds just put it in

being able to choose each games uni our team wears.

pitching coaches being able to be called out by users so we dont waste manager going to the mound when it isnt nessesary.

the left field fans in oakland, the horn and drum guys, the flag wavers etc etc...

mmm i think that about covers it in a nutshell for me at least...

oh yeah no more shortcuts on time saving stuff... if there is a foul ball i want to see the entire thing play out. i dont care how long it takes me to play a game... i want the feel of the real deal we see on tv every day during a season or post season...

for those that want to skip all the stuff let them but at least give us the players the option to have the game play out how we want to .. let us be teh deciding factor in how we view our games...

oh one more thing... let us be able to watch any and all games from our seasons/chises. so if i want to watch the full game of the angels late in sept taking on someone and im chasign htem im can. and make this possilbe in the post season so that we can watch all games that take place during the off season as well as being able to play out our own. not simcast mind you full watch it as we would on tv in real life...

ok im done... have a great day!!

Add a way to change the break on pitches a la MVP '05 in player editor.

They have a 12-6 curve, etc but I don't think they have a 12-6 slider like Joba Chamberlain throws. I haven't played with the player editor that much yet so it may be in there and I haven't seen it. Kinda annoying to see him throw a 2-8 slider though.

I also haven't checked the roster edits yet by the OS guys, do people just edit Chamberlain to have a splitter that goes 86 MPH since it's a similar movement to his slider IRL?

you can try adding a knuckle curve....with a movement of 90...at least appearance-wise, it'll basically give you that look/angle you're seeking
