Re: The Extremely Early Wish List Thread

I don't know if many others would want this, but I would like to have a season mode option where you can start a season at any of the official SCEA roster update points. At this point the stats reflect what they are in real life as well as the standings. That way I could take over a team late in the season and try to get them back into a pennant chase.

SCEA gives us all these great roster updates but I only have use for them in online leagues. It's be awesome if you could jump into a season mode (or franchise mode) at the time of a roster update.

    Atlanta Braves
    - Auburn Tigers - Nashville Predators

I still would like to see all of the Fast Play options separated vs. an all-inclusive On/Off as it is now.

      Also, in MOM:
      1. Make the Play Ball option more of a "do nothing special" option. For example, don't steal, hit/run, sac bunt, etc. on it's own.
      2. Add the WIDE camera angle
      3. Make the IF/OF speed work.

There are other things, but these are of particular interest to me.
      MLB: Pittsburgh Pirates, Colorado Rockies
      NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers
      NHL: Pittsburgh Penguins
      NBA: Denver Nuggets, Orlando Magic
NCAA: Penn State Nittany Lions, Boston College Eagles

My biggest wish is that all the sliders work and are more exagerrated. The pitch speed is too fast for me even at 0 and I find it frustrating. I personally find it near impossible to be able to have a good eye AND pull an average fastball in the game. Pitcher control, even at 0 and on classic, is still too good. The Show '08 is still good enough for me to play next year. If the sliders aren't more exagerrated (particularly pitch speed) I will simply keep playing '08 and pass on '09. Why not let me fine-tune the game the way I want it?

Would love to see a sports ticker on the bottom of the screen showing scores and info from around the league during gameplay!!

I also would like to see the grounds crew come on too the field after the top of the 5th inning.

Love to see more classic uniforms and stadiums...

Many teams change location, please consider offering home and away uniforms for each location...Like the Boston Braves, the Milwaukee Braves, the Atlanta Braves etc.

i Love SCEA's Face Tool and I hope it remains basically the same with the same face maps...but the parameters need to expand to accommodate some faces...Keep this version just add a tool to open up the horizons...so when you need to go further in any direction than the face tool will allow you to go, just push this afterburner button and you can bring the eyes closer move any face feature a little further...

The reason i don't want the basic face tool changed is I have 2000 hrs. invested in my own field of dreams legendary players...
I have copied all these legendary players face maps on to a DVD for next year...

I wish there was a way to transfer my 600 created faces to the next generation game electronically,,,
next year SCEA MIGHT OFFER announced first names and classic parks and classic uniforms...Hope so...and if so I hope they are offered in Franchise and Season modes...

It just gets better and better!
                    I love this game!

Re: The Extremely Early Wish List Thread

I had a couple of more thoughts, which it won't matter anyway, but having the common chant starters and such like in real ballparks. For instance, the Harry Belfonte, "Dao (sp?)" ,"Everybody clap your hands," Sweet Caroline at Fenway during the "8th inning stretch" Coors Field's "Will you be my girl," etc. This is next generation, the extras should be mindblowing, making you feel you are virtually at any ballpark in the country, just as it would be in real life.

I will echo the more uniforms and stadiums suggestion as well. I would love to see every available uniform in a team's history at our disposal.
The classic stadiums would be a blast. They were there last gen. I loved playing games at the Polo Ground and Ebbets Field. Still yet, remember the stadium creator on the old Earl Weaver Baseball? I think it would be very interesting to be able to create a stadium, and have it available online as your host park, if you chose.

Ironically, every suggestion in this thread has been one time or another in an old gen. game.

                        Amazing, right?....

High Heat....custom leagues...importing leagues .....transferring your league from one version to another. Granted...there were some problems with the transfer sometimes...
Earl Weaver...like you said...the stadium creator and a plethora of options for your league. Really an amazing title, way ahead of it's time.
Front Page Sports Baseball......uniform creator....awesome manage only mode(you could choose what things you wanted to handle and the cpu would handle...so you could pitch if you like...control pitching....whatever..
Tony LaRussa.....add on packs for rosters and stadiums....

...and the most packed with baseball title to date IMO...

ASB2005.....had it all....mentioned many times...but if you can find that game somewhere....buy it...and pop it in just to see how much that title just dripped baseball atmosphere. The limited editor killed that game a bit...but the stadiums.....the "little things" made this an amazing title.

Of course you know I'm taking nothing away from my all time favorite game...The Show...it's the most complete of all the games ever made...but if it would take a little from each of the past games....WOW!

If I'm not mistaken ASB2005 had that. There was a screen and you could choose any of the starting players to control or not, fielding and hitting. If my memory serves me correctly.

Also ASB2005 for the XBOX. The PS game really lacked in the graphics department (have them both).

You're right, it was ASB. If fact, ironically, someone dusted off an old ASB thread from 2006. I had even made some posts but didn't remember it. What was funny was that Knight had a post and I was saying to myself, we were just talking about this same thing in the Show thread, and was about to reply when I saw the post was made in 06. What comes around goes around.

Something That would make it more fun is when batter chases balls out of the zone or they stretch o hit the ball when its comin to the opposite side of the plate
