One big thing that defently needs to be in this years game is injuries during the season with total roster control, that way you have the abilty to change a teams roster and lineup the way a real magor league team would as opposed to the computer ai batting A.Pujols batting leadoff or Ichiro batting cleanup, you get my drift? Total roster control is were it's at in my book.Also the crowd should be based on how your doing and what the teams attendence averges for like he last 3 years,like no reason for a sellout for a Flordia Marlins game,and like Rain delays and like showers and weather playing a big factor and how games should be played.

I have never seen that in this game. I think you are getting it mixed up with 2k8.

Playoffs and Would Series atmosphere is surely lacking in MLB The Show!!!

I realy hope this is something they can really improve on over the next few versions.

I wonder what would trigger a non sellout at a W.S. game?
I'm pretty sure that it was record/rivalry for regular season games...
Do you know what the regular season record was for the two teams?
I hope they see this and make sure it can't happen in '09.
I'll drop Chris/Kolbe a PM about it to make sure.

I'm pretty sure that it was record/rivalry for regular season games...
Do you know what the regular season record was for the two teams?
I hope they see this and make sure it can't happen in '09.

One thing MLB The Show does not do which would be very nice is when in Season mode or Franchise mode if a player hits a Home Run a box should pop up saying how many Home runs he now has on the season. And maybe the play by play guy could also say it.

They do this on real baseball broadcast all the time.

You could do this for maybe RBI's also.

So far example I am playing a season game and I just hit a Home run with Ryan Howard right after the Home run a little box or what ever pops up and says something like 25th Home Run of the Year!


I really hope 09 version will do this but if not then please do this for 2010!!

I really think there is still a lot of improvment needed for MLB The Show on PS3!

In Game Sports ticker is a great idea and really wanted!!!

The way I would do it is this.

For exhibition Mode the In Game Sports Ticker could show real scores from around the league.

For Season and Franchise Mode it could show scores from your very own MLB The Show season.


How F-ing cool would that be!!!

Please add this for 09 version or 2010 version!!!

One other idea I had.


How about having the play by play guys do some Advertising?

Like for example they could say this broadcast is brought to you Best Buy.

You get the idea

I must be missing something. I never see anything pop up saying so and so just hit his 18th Home Run.

And it should do it for every Home Run not just once in a blue moon.


At about 1:42 in the following clip a Home run is hit. Nothing pops up saying how many Home runs for the season that was.
