Yea whats the whole point of Hving baserunning when you steal alot of bases and your still not the leading leader for stolen bases when the cpu has more than 134 bases the first 4 months

I still want to control my on base stealing. I’m just referring to situations where I know I’m not going to attempt to steal a base.

1. Day-Night progression...shadows that move across the field...this would look great at Fenway and Wrigley especially...

2. Player-specific swings. and better generic looking follow-throughs when swinging...

3. More player-specific stances, and pitching deliveries. Still need to fix Ryan Braun's and Rickie Weeks's stance....

4. Better generic pitching deliveries... some guys in MLB 08 look like they are pushing the ball, or releasing the ball before their arm is completely forward....

5. Collision detection.

6. More accurate outfielder posistioning. They play too deep in MLB 08.

7. More accurate outfielder reaction time. They get to balls down the line way too easily; taking away easy doulbes.

8. Dome stadiums that open and close. And give the user the option to play with the roof open or closed.

9. Better looking flags.. also, have the flags blow with the wind; including direction and wind strength.

10. More accurate player faces. Most are good already, but I notice that Griffey Jr. looks a little off; including skin tone.

11. Keep Matt Vasgersian; THE BEST announcer in any sports game ever!

12. Improve outfield grass textures. Make some spots not so green; little signs of wear.

13. More player accessories; sunglasses and eye-black especially.

14. Add more fielding animations. Better response time from when the base button is pushed to when the fielder actually starts to throw the ball; way too many times the infielder would take his time getting the ball to 2nd on a force play and the runner would easily be safe....also, some balls hit deep into the hole at short, the fielder gets to it, takes his time and still throws the runner out. This shouldn't happen; the fielder should have to make an off-balance throw, or a quicker throw...

15. How about adding flyballs that the fielder loses in the sun or the lights? Or mis-judged flyballs that go over the fielders head or drops in front of them

16. Visiting crowd reactions; especially at Miller Park where there seems to be more cubs fans than brewers fans....I would like to see the visiting crowd get loud especially in big rivalry games.

I am loving MLB 08...the best baseball game I have ever played. Adding these suggestions will make it that much better.....

A create your own stadium and use it in any games, exhibitions, or franchise mode. Also have a owner mode!

I am loving MLB 08...the best baseball game I have ever played. Adding these suggestions will make it that much better.....

can we PLEASE use a numbering system this time while creating or editing players?? Im fine with the bar while looking at the player management screen but when creating or editing a pitcher and inputting how hard he throws, it will make it a lot easier on us and you to go straight to 92 instead of counting and guess where its at.

I know its early, but the potential for the future of this series is so great I figured I'd throw out some ideas.

Edit/Create Player Options
• Sunglasses (Different types such as flip-up, wrap around, goggles, ect.)
• ½ sleeves (sleeves cut right at elbow. Also be able to edit color.)
• New Elbow Guards (the current one is hideous; looks like a giant ball on your elbow. Need different types such as plastic and the thinner padded ones like Arod wears.)
• Batting Gloves (Different types, and ability to edit color combinations.)
• Fielding Gloves (Need more colors and possibly a glove editor like 2k.)
• Bats (Need more color choices and ability to set traditional or cupped end. Also type of taping used on handle. Would be neat to have players name and team on the barrel.)
• Cleats (Different styles and ability to edit color combinations.)
• Eye Black
• Ability to upload face scans and apply them to created players (Like Tiger Woods 08)

Batting Stances/Pitching Motions/Signature Animations
• Recapture or manually animate most stances and motions as many are either entirely wrong or outdated.
• Add ability to assign a specific home run celebration and warm-up swings to any player.
• Ability to select a one handed or two handed follow through for each player.
• Batting Stance/Pitching Motion Creation Feature (Could be similar to the current face creation. Uses sliders and analog stick manipulation to position hands, arms, elbows, feet, etc., as well as ability to select different types of bat movement and leg kicks.)

Stadiums
• Ball boys that chase after foul balls.
• Bullpens with players in them during the game, not just while warming up.
• Future Stadiums for teams that have them approved. (Could possibly be a download option.)
• Real Spring Training Stadiums. (Current ones just don’t have the same feel as the real thing.)
• As many real minor league parks as you can get.

Franchise
• 40 man rosters. (Spring Training is pretty useless without them.)
• All-Star Break with all events. (Futures Game, Home Run Derby, ASG)
• Real Salaries. (Or the ability to edit players salaries.)
• Ballpark Creator (Ability to create and move in right away AND the ability to NOT just create then move into. Have to be able to secure funding, and then set a future date for it to be opened.)
• Single A minor leagues.
• Real minor leaguers with fake names.

Controls
• Analog batting (Just like MVP 07. Pull back and the player begins his step, release and he goes back to his stance, or pull back and push forward to take a full swing.)

Wow....nice list, that pretty much covers anything I can think of. I have just spent the last couple of hours perusing the Madden side....I am more thankful by the minute that this is my game of choice. Of course every game needs some fine tuning based on the wants / needs of each game player. But when I compare The Show to Madden '09....I breathe a fat sigh of relief that I only play Madden periodically , this yr probably not at all.....The Show is hands down the best sports game available, and when combined with the roster and CAP work of some of the contributors here ( we all know who they are)....it increases the games fun factor exponentially. Even the threads / posts here are noticeably different...more about help...sharing and spreading info....baseball fans enjoying a fine product as opposed to the infintile name calling...combative and hostile enviro from across the hall, I chalk that up to so much exasperation and disappointment in a product they so enjoy and the enormous let down many seem to be feeling. This game kicks *ss...with just a modicum of fine tuning...it can be near perfect. Ok...off the soap box

I'm at 9/3 in the schedule and just scrolling through it and looking at some of the match ups that I can't play that are meaningful games in the pennant race.

Give us the choice to play any game in the schedule, please.

If your team finishes out of the pennant race it would be nice to be able to continue through the world series.

In RTS mode, when you are a Catcher there should be more hitting instead of just pop ups and throwing out base runners. The only time I have seen hitting is when the bases are loaded. Catchers should also be able to call the game. Another thing is when a player steals a bag, it brings the hitter back up without the result of the previous pitch.

Most baseball gamers are pretty avid fans and players. We don't mind the length of games(as long as it's not crazy )....
Let us play every pitch...every play in RTTS...much like NHL 09's new Be A Pro mode....even when your line is not out on the ice...you are watching from the bench. I find myself cheering when a teammate scores and I'm on the bench. It's truly immersive!
If RTTS mode was more like an RPG....I would play that as much as Manage Only games.

Of course keep the current RTTS mode in for when you want to blast through a couple(of hundred ) games!

Most baseball gamers are pretty avid fans and players. We don't mind the length of games(as long as it's not crazy )....
Let us play every pitch...every play in RTTS...much like NHL 09's new Be A Pro mode....even when your line is not out on the ice...you are watching from the bench. I find myself cheering when a teammate scores and I'm on the bench. It's truly immersive!

I want to throw down some fingers and call the game if I'm a catcher in RTTS. I want to be able to select a mound visit and manage my staff. Call pickoffs. Hit guys that are taking too long to round the bases. Block the curve ball in the dirt. See the screen go blurry when I get hit in the face with a foul tip off the mask.

I caught my whole life playing ball. If I'm going to play the position in RTTS, I could care less about foul pops ... personally.

3. Better Basestealing sim numbers
4. Better Speed ratings out of the box
5. Gives us real minor leaguers with fake names like NCAA Football does. Just give them generated names that resembles a real minor leaguer.
