Santana would be a good choice but I wouldn't be surprised if they went with a positional player again

As much as it is hard for me to say this, i think Dustin Pedroia would be a good candidate. Even though I despise the Red Sox, i can't deny the fact that Pedroia is a great player and is getting better every year...Its at the point where I cant stand him because he tends to have big games against the Yanks.

Cliff Lee or Pedroia would be great choices...
It would be nice to see an Indian on the cover.....geez when is the last time that happened?....maybe Albert Belle or Jim Thome?

Grady Sizemore would be a great choice -- young player who's becoming the image for how the game should be played. Plus, it can't hurt that he's a 5 tool, MVP caliber player.

Believe it or not, most of America hates the Yankees-Red Sox rivalry because of all the superfluous attention it receives in the Northeast (ESPN).

Also, Sabathia is still a Brewer... they'll have made their decision on a cover athlete before he signs, and with any luck, he won't sign with the Yankees anyway.

It's about making money, but there are more people who dislike New York and Boston than like them so much that they'll buy the game blindly. Just because they have larger fan bases than each individual team, it's not good marketing to make them the center of the baseball universe.

And he is not a Yankee, but he was most recently a Brewer. Also, congratulations on cheering for a team that can just buy away their problems (and still not make the playoffs... "in ya face").
