Sort of like in Power Pros. When you create a player you can input stats and that then gives the abilities..

Global editing......inputting historical stats.....everything was just MONEY. Of course a lot had to do with 3do making everything accessible! (You guys were singing....I'm whistlin'! )

Did they fix the really ANNOYING display bug that always makes the scoreboard graphic on the top of the screen disappear before every pitch ONLY when using the "pitcher" & "outfield" camera views ???

This really effects the authentic T.V. broadcast experience because the scoreboard & pitch speed don't always stay on the screen

All I would just like to know guys is this:

When you play defense, is there a more sense of urgency to get outs and is there a collision detection with turning two and taking out either the 2B or SS. Last year it was a pain when I had to throw out either a runer at 2nd or 1st....or even from OF to home and it was like the players acted like they had all the time in the world. Are they more aggresive this year. Do they attempt to move and throw with a little more zip or is there a gimp in their pimp?

Does MLB 09 The Show have full Day to Dusk to Night transition with cloud effects and movement?

Is your system sophisticated enough to know the difference between a 1:00, 4:00, 7:00 & 8:00 start. 1:00 starts with very few shadows, 4:00 starts with heavy shadows, 7:00 starts as dusk, and 8:00 starts at night (e.g., World Series games).

NCAA 07 & 08 had incredible transition lighting. They even took time of year into consideration (a 3:30 kickoff in early September started off bright, but in late November started off really dusky). Good info by HokieB
I had no idea NCAA took into account the season for the dynamic lighting. That is awesome. I would hate to play a World Series game starting at 7 only for it to be light out.

                    Gameplay:

I'm sorry if this has already been posted. But I would like to know if there is anyway to cut off a throw while the ball is in the air? Like say I initially throw home but I know there is no way to get him out. Can I cut the throw off and then throw to second?

Again, I am sorry if this is a repeated question. Hope you guys have fun at the SCEA studios. Thanks for taking our questions with you. I appreciate it.

Hey Knight and JIM....I just discovered after testing that the overhead score display graphic only disappears when using the "PITCHER" camera view

Can you please edit my question on your lists to this

... When using the "PITCHER" camera view the overhead score graphic would always disappear before every pitch was thrown making it impossible to see the pitch speed & type when watching or playing a game

Was this problem corrected this year ???

I don't know if this goes here or not, but here is my question.

Will the WBC be in MLB:The Show 09?

I sware this is a different question guys

When watching CPU vs CPU games this year in franchise or season will the pitch speed and type now be displayed on the overhead score display for added broadcast realism ??

If it wasn't addressed this year can you please add it next year

In MLB 09 The Show when watching CPU vs CPU can we use Press Box cam?

Also will there be any new camera views this year?

How about a free roaming camera where the user could place it where ever we want and be able to watch the whole game from there.

                                Example

I would like to view a CPU VS CPU game from behind Home plate in the upper deck That would be a great view of the whole field.

3DO High Heat baseball had this camera view.
