Other - Will game postponements be in 09? E.G. if it's raining, will a game be cancelled and force you to play a double-header later in the season thus making you perhaps call up a minor leaguer to pitch, or shuffle your rotation?
Other - If a feature of the game is almost done, but not ready to be included in the initial release, will a patch be released that could potentially add features to the game, or will it be held off until 2010?Comment

Another option I would like is:
While I love RTTS mode I also like to play D for everyone or some people which you can't do in RTTS. So I know most will say just play regular franchise. However I'd like the control options that were in All Star Baseball where you could set up to control only certain players or positions while batting or playing the field.
In ASBB I would have it set to only control 1 batter (Me) and I would control the D for just the OF'ers. Just a thought. That option would sort of allow us to play a single player career yet still be in charge of the team.Joshua:

Re: ***Official Community Preview Questions Thread***
The unfortunate part of sports gaming is the annual release, and with that year in year out release, comes familiarity. How do you combat the sameness feeling? deja vu. We know as a sport the game doesn't change in a dramatic way, but the drama of real people keeps us interested, being that you're limited by hardware, how does the show, make a seasoned vet of the game feel like its a whole new ball game?
Games that suffer from deja vu, Madden, NBA 2k, and these games have reached their pinnacle(been to the mountain top). Without tipping your hand to much, what more can you do to make a vet want the show again?Comment

Mode: Online
OK, I have one that I should have asked about long ago....and maybe it has been asked already. It is in regards to online play, and mic activation. Is L3 still going to be the toggle button for voice chat? I ask because I always found myself muting/unmuting voice inadvertently while aiming my swing (LOL, I know, how dare me actually aim when I didn't have to)...and it could very well be just me and my fat fingers LOL. Not a big issue, as I could just press L3 again if I found myself talking and my opponent wasn't responding.
I was just curious if there was going to be changes in the voice chat interface, or any added icon to indicate whether or not your mic was "live" -- could you guys ask about that while you lucky sap-suckers are out enjoying your trip and game preview? LOL*jealous*
Forgive me it this has been mentioned before...Last edited by thaSLAB; 01-19-2009, 10:08 AM.Comment

Re: ***Official Community Preview Questions Thread***
Gameplay - Did they decrease the size of the PCI.
Is there any change in the pickoff mechanic
Is it easier to throw out stealing base runners
Franchise - Stolen base numbers are they realistic
Player progression from minors is it realistic
Do we have real minor leaguers with fake names
Graphics - Does the baserunner still clip through the secondbasemenComment

Re: ***Official Community Preview Questions Thread***
Gameplay - Will Spring Training be a part of the season each year in RttS? The one thing that I thought was pretty crummy about 08 was that you only did Spring Training your first year. Once the season ended, it kind of killed off any build-up of the following regular season. I think it would be great if there were minor and major league spring training games, and as your player developed, he'd be invited to the major league spring training roster and show off his skills to the ML Club. Since your attributes also don't drop during spring training it would also give you the best chance to improve on all your attributes. (As sometimes you weren't able to build up attributes that YOU wanted to because all your goals in the season were for items you didn't care about). So in Spring Training, you'd be able to work on skills and talents that you felt you wanted to do. As you get older, it would also be a good way to prevent your stats from dropping off too quickly, or see if it's time for you to retire.Comment

Gameplay:
Will there be smarter cut off throws? I always hated trying to throw to the cutoff man from deep right center to relay home and my cutoff guy ends up catching the ball around 2nd base after a weak throw and not even having a chance to get the ball in to home in time.
Other:
At Progressive Field in Cleveland, is Heretige Park incorporated now? It wasn't last year although if you paused the game, the PA announcer would talk about it. It is in Center Field in place of where the picnic area is currently on the game. I'd love to be able to see it like you could the Hall of Famers at Yankee Stadium.Comment

A couple more things:
Extras: Is it possible to have printer support in the future? One thing I loved doing on the PC was printing rosters etc for easy reference.
Gameplay: User generated balks. Give us the ability to throw to a base AFTER we've started the throw to the plate. The closer we are (but not going towards) to going home when the throw is made to the base the better odds of a pickoff. Go to far and a balk is called.Joshua:
