Was there any talk about playing as catcher in RTTS and allowing the user to call the pitches and location for future installments?

I don't think I would play as a catcher in it's current form, but if you had this ability I think it would add a tremendous amount of playability. I would envision it being setup to where you move the stick one of the 9 zones and press the corresponding button for the pitch type. Maybe a shoulder button to say definitely try and throw a ball and another shoulder button to say brush back the batter.

Just a thought.

You can never ruin our experience. A picture is worth a thousand words you could talk till the roosters crow about the beauty you see.

When we see the pictures or the game in action for ourselves, only then will we know what you meant...

To go even further - wehad the thread for GTAIV go on for what seemed like decades with tons of info, screens, you name it and once the game actually came out - All you could do is take it in and enjoy it first hand. I think this will be the same deal with The Show. All of us will go missing when this one drops and the only one's online will be those doing rosters, sliders or sadly, those only with 360's:wink:

I'm curious. Did the numbers on the uniforms get redone? Last year they were shiny if the sun was shining on them or from the stadium lights when played at night. Do they have a cloth texture like the uniforms?

Thanks guys for all the info. I just wanted to say that I noticed that no one touched on RTS mode. I thought that the mode needed a major overhaul as one of my players who had been hitting the cover off of the ball was benched over Royce Clayton who at the time was hitting like .238 and my player was a sure-shot. I also noticed that this had a major role in my player being re-signed and eventually flatlining my players budding career. Any words?

Seeing that we can play all defensive plays this year in RTTS I'm guessing that all the hits are random and not always to me, Correct?

I think it will be more along the lines of us saying "oh, that's what those guys meant when they said..." or "holy ****! they were spot on" or "I hate those foolios for getting to play this game 1 month before me." Okay, the last one holds true now!

I'm surprised y'all are so calm after playing the game for a few days and then being shipped back to your respective homes. I would be going nuts.

Ha...I've never seen a bump right after the post being bumped!

I'd say just getting the chance to dig into franchise stuff.
I wound up playing games on legend.....just because I didn't have enough time to really delve into franchise....and I've been thinking of that a lot since!

It's probably for the best that you didn't get too much time with the franchise. You probably would've had to be "terminated" in order to get you to let go of the game...lol.

Your poor family would be home mourning at home, as the boys at SCEA deperately tried to pry the game from your cold, dead, fingers back in SD

So see, you not diving too deep into franchise probably saved lives
